No, no cold cuts...another executive decision on my part. Because we always have so much food...usually leftovers...I told her not to worry about having to leave cold cuts on ice in my entryway when I didn't know what time we would be home this evening. That just seemed crazy for her to worry about food with her not feeling well. You know we always have plenty to eat at these gatherings.
This was a bad decision, Arlene. Please understand that this is MY event and I need to be the one making the decisions. I always ask for input but ultimately someone needs to be in charge, and that's me for this one.
I hope everyone will enjoy eating cheese with mayo & mustard with no meats or bread. We will be lighter on main dishes than usual.
Great event today! Met some super new stamping ladies. Wonderful shoeboxes, incredible food, extremely generous door prize donations and a fun gift exchange. Who could ask for more? Thanks Linda and Jean! (And everyone else).:p
Remember to keep October 18 open for Stamp-a-Palooza in Williamsville!
Thanks, everyone, for a wonderful day. I hope you enjoyed it.
As I mentioned, I will be in touch with our newbies to ask their impressions of the day but anyone should feel free to provide feedback. Please do so in an email or PM to me. You can also text or call.
I do always consider feedback but ultimately I make decisions on what seems to be the best for the group at large.
You are welcome to keep this thread going and use it for chatting with your stamping friends.

Wonderful time yesterday! All the cards were fun to make, what talent ladies! I will definitely be at the next one! Nancy, I had a wonderful time chatting with you!
Other Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just cant stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.

I want to thank everyone who helped me out at Saturday's event. As a newbie ,I learned a lot of things and you all gave me lots of ideas. You are all a bunch of fun ladies.
I promise my next shoebox-swaps will be better now that I have learned some new techniques. I am much better at sewing (I have 3 machines) so paper crafting is a newer endeavor for me . Thank You Linda for inviting me. I really enjoyed my self.
I had a wonderful time on Saturday, and I'm already looking forward to the November event. Thanks to Linda and Jean for all their hard work. Also, thanks to all who made individual kits for their shoebox projects...it makes it so much easier to just pick up the kit and get started rather than have to root through the box looking for all the components. I can't wait to "show & tell" all the beautiful table projects, swaps and door prizes with my stamp club members!
It is sounding like there will be a Buffalo event on 10/18, one in Rochester on 10/25, and then East Syracuse on 11/1. Is that too many weeks in a row? I know not all of you go to all events, but some do. I might be able to move to November 8 if that works better. I do know several who were at Saturday's event said that the 1st didn't work for them for one reason or another.

I like the 8th, I've NEVER done the Roch one, and having a week between would sure make it easier
I had a lot of people ask about the stamps I used in my shoebox - you can get the water drops stamp here, the boy with cape here and the saying here. You can get the stamps individually on wood, cushion or just rubber but the plates are a better deal!
Thanks everyone for a fun day of stamping!
