1) That I get to join the NW Illinois Shoebox Swap, and
2) That someone out there understands the play on words with "creativeaccountant" (think Enron)...now I know that I'm not the only "nerd" out there!
By the way, creativity and math usually do not mix...if it makes anyone feel better, I am a perfectionist when it comes to my cardmaking!
I will send my registration form and payment out tomorrow morning!
Thanks,
Karla
P.S. I almost busted a gut when I previewed my original post, because it inserted asterisks in place of a four letter word that starts with "A" and ends with "L" and is followed by "retentive"...so I had to use "perfectionist" instead (oops!)
I'm going to SU! regionals in Milwaukee the weekend before, and I promised friends I'd share my goodies that day... *hope* to catch the next one!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to mix it up with Mix-Ability every Friday (little behind!)
Tygerpaws, you know your stampin friends could join you, at the shoebox, then when you share your regional swaps, we could all look over your shoulder and enjoy your regional swaps! Invite them along!
We have 18 for sure, with a few maybes still floating out there. I have been updating the list, in post #38. Do we need to post a deadline to corral the stampers who work best with a deadline? Those of you on the fence, now is the time to join us!
Dee & Catherine - I'm coming and bringing a friend, I just have to fill out the forms!! Count me in. I can't go to Regionals now so I'm defintely coming to see you!
Can't wait!

Ok maybe it's just me being confused, On a recent post it says there are only 18 particpants so far. So are we making 60 cards still + 4 for the organizers??????

We are hoping to have 60 ladies attend, and expect to need 4 people to work the event. So, you will bring supplies for 30 cards in your "shoebox," 30 completed cards to swap and 4 extra completed cards for the organizers. We prefer if all 64 cards ( 30 shoebox and 34 swap) be the same.
Thanks for asking Sheree. No, no need to make 60 cards! Our original post was based on a maximum capacity attendance. Since we will have closer to 25 participants, you will only need to prep about 25 cards. Watch the forum for more details in the near future. We will post a deadline and a final count so everyone can be properly prepared.
I was wondering if there was an approximate count of how many were interested in also participating in the 3x3 swap? I just don't want to make way too many...
Alright ladies, now is the time to buzz in your vote on the 3x3 swap. . . I'll count the registration form votes and post it here later today, but some of the forms have said YES they are interested in a 3x3 swap.
Is it possible to see a picture of 1 or 2 of the cards made at a previous shoebox swap just so I have an idea of the degree of work you'd like involved in the cards we are to make. I've got an idea but because I never done this type of swap before I'd like to make sure I don't over do it or under do it.
Thanks
I get a can't find the file response...BUT you gave me the duh idea of looking in the gallery and doing a search for shoebox swap and I found a bunch of samples, this should help me on my way. I have printed out the reg form and just need to fill it out and send in. Oh and confirm with dh that I can be gone all day
Saturday Apr 19 is the deadline to enroll, so if you are still thinking about joining us, please post or email me so we count you in. We have to cut off registration so everyone can get their supplies ready.
My son is going to prom, which wasn't on the calendar when I signed up for this swap.
I need to leave the swap at 2:30 in order to get back in time to take pix. Do you think we'll be done in time or should I drop out? I don't have a problem leaving early and finishing cards at home, but I don't want to leave others in the lurch...
I am sure we can get you out of there in time. Bring a little sign for your workstation letting people know that you may be leaving early and we can announce that your card should be completed as early as possible. Four hours (since we start at 10:00, break for lunch) should be sufficient for making 22 cards. You should be fine!
My friend and I figured out the time if every card takes 10 minutes, instead of the 6-8 you put in the guidelines...so I'm thinking it should be good.
THanks!
It is with sincere regrets that I write to let you all know that I won't be able to attend the swap this Saturday. :(
My husband and I are in the process of selling our home (not a bad thing), and our appointment with the realtor needs to take place on Saturday. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to do both, and we really need to get our home sold.
I do not expect any refund for the registration fee, and hope that someone might be able to enjoy the extra boxed lunch so that it doesn't go to waste.
Again, I am very sorry to have to cancel at the last minute. I was really looking forward to this event!
Karla, I am so sorry. If anyone here can bring a friend, please let us know. At this point I cannot refund the fee, so if we can sell this spot, that new registration fee could go toward Karla. Spread the word!!
Anna Lisa, I am confident that we will be out of there by 2:30. No problem!
Everyone: watch your email for final details. Please respond so we know everyone has the last word!
Thanks for your efforts in trying to find a replacement stamper! I completely understand about the non-refundable nature of the event, and will be pleasantly surprised if I receive one.
i don't know how many are doing the 3x3 swap, but since i am taking Karla's spot, I am going to try and make some tonight, in case there is room for one more for that swap. I have to also finish cutting and making up my shoebox swap, so we'll see how tonight goes.

I had a great time too, I told Dee in a PM it was just the right size, bigger is fun too, but I liked not feeling as if my head was spinning trying to get them all done!
