Can't wait for saturday. Lori and I will bring something sweet and a side dish. I haven't confirmed with her what it will be, but we'll make sure its not something on the sign up sheet already!

Well, I got all my card packets put together last night, with "help" from two of my cats. Twiggy and Smidgen decided they'd "help" me by playing with the embellishments. And also sitting on the cardstock so I had to move them every time I went to get a sheet to cut. Finally got everything done.
I'm excited and nervous about Saturday. I'm rather shy around people I don't know so it may take me a while to open up. Plus I'm nervous that my card won't be good enough. :-( I tend towards the simple style and I worry that my card will be too simple for your liking.
Karen, I'm like that too, I don't open up until I know someone really well either. It's normal to worry about your project, but nobody is judgemental at these things, so it's all good! I like simple b/c then I don't get frustrated with myself if I can't do it

But I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

Guess what, Karen? My favorite cards are those on the simple side. I do a lot of swaps on here, and worried at the beginning that my cards were too simple. I don't any more! I'm sure I'll love your card. My cat, Leon, will probably like your card also since it will smell like other cats. Joy's card, however, will smell like a dog The people that I know that are coming to this swap are great--have no fears! I just typed directions for my cards, and packed up everything that I am taking. Can't wait!!!!!
Does anyone care if I change my mind on my dish? I was thinking that the Asian Slaw really won't keep that well out of the frig for any length of time...the noodles get all mushy!
I was thinking that I would bring a big crock pot of meatballs?? They are a little more finger food-ish....
Let me know if anyone has any issues with this change.... ;)

I have one more question. I was just re-reading my instructions. I know it is called a shoeBOX swap, however I just realized I do not have one. Can it be a square basket? Or do I need to call around for a shoebox?
Ready and packed...now lets just hope I can remember the directions in the morning!
Really excited about seeing everyone tomorrow.
I picked up the veggie tray/ made the bagels w/cheese dip and brought alittle munchie thing too.
I hope I'm not forgetting anything.
See you tomorrow!!!!!!!
I wanted to thank everyone for their contribution to the swap today, each of you helped to make our swap a success. I hope you all enjoyed your day and were able to take some thoughts and ideas away with you. Until next time!
Big thanks to Tammy and Jackie! What a wonderful shoebox swap. I just went through all of my cards and my 3-D items. I love everything Can't wait to do it again. Thanks to everyone.
I dont think I got pictures of everyone's projects, I am still working on a few that I brought home b/c I wanted to use the images for other cards/projects. Oh and you'll notice that some of mine don't look like the originals, well, that's just me, I never follow directions ;)
Tammy & Jackie Thanks again, what a great day! I have already told several of my friends and they are so envious! They want to come next time. Thank you!
Lori
THANKS Jackie and Tammy for hosting another HUGE SUCCESS SWAP.
Once again the talents of these ladies blows me away; I always come away with so many wonderful memories; great projects and a few extra pounds.
It was wonderful to see everyone again and to meet new people too.
I truly hope this becomes an annual event.

You all convinced me I needed one... so I picked up the last one on the shelf not bad with 40% off... stocked up on the accessories, wow 6 buck for wire cutters - okay so my DH will be missing a pair. tee hee. Can't wait for the weekend to play.
I know it's early but wanted to share my weekend plans. Y'all will be green with envy!
We're going to a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) bout on Saturday! Actually there will be 12 bouts.
Hubby and I watch this on TV and really enjoy it. It's not like the WWF which I consider totally fake. Plus it takes a lot of skill as they use different types of fighting, like karate, boxing, judo, etc. It's really interesting and exciting.
There was an article on cnn.com today about MMA and how popular it has become if anyone's interested.

Iread something of this, is this being held locally?
Hey Jackie and Tammy! The swap was awesome. You two did a great job. I can't wait for the next one. I came home with my creativity energized and then the power went out! You really can't stamp in the dark - I tried. The power finally came back on last night. Except for that annoying interruption (work), I have been stamping ever since.
The cards and 3D projects were fantastic. I have a ton of ideas to explore.
Hey, can anyone tell me what a BIA is that is only 59.99? I might need one.
