I might need to move this thread to a new one for more exposure...not sure. But anyway, I have requested my clubhouse for April 19th, if for some reason it is not available, will try for April 26th. So, for right now, plan on the 19th of April. It would be from 9 AM til 3 PM and we would have lunch there. In the past, we have played a "Dirty Stamper" game which is a lot of fun, if you all would like to do that, I am open for that too. A couple of years ago when we held it here, we had each table set up as a station for stamping. Each person brought a finished card, and then a shoe box full of the supplies needed to make the card....cut paper, embellishments, rubber stamps, ink pads, scrubber, cleaner spray, markers, etc. (People brought their own adhesive, scissors). Each table had the instructions for the card also. About 4-6 people can work at a station at a time. This was called a Shoebox Swap. It was a lot of fun. If you signed up for a swap, you cut enough for the number of people attending the swap....so, until close to the deadline, you don't have the final number. Most people tended to bring current SU! sets that they used for the swap...we can have stations that are not SU! however. It worked best when people put all the supplies needed into little zip lock bags, and then into the shoebox, so that people who wanted to take the baggie home and finish the card could do so....helpful when you are running short on time.
So, if you would like to attend, and plan on bringing a shoebox swap for everyone to try, please sign up below. We will go with April 19th for now.

I need to check my son's baseball schedule but I really would like to attend another one and have been to Maria's clubhouse one the last time and had a great time!
I can't make the 19th, but will subscribe just in case of a date change. It has been awhile since I've been to a gathering. I went to the last one Maria had and the one in Lawrenceville at the library, but nothing since then.

ooops, I fixed it. I live in Augusta now and I'd like to come. I'd also like to bring a friend. She lives near Ringgold so we could meet in the middle.
Thanks for checking!

Subscribing b/c I may be able to attend. Currently working on a Relay for Life event for my SIL for early/mid April, so gotta get that first. If I come, I'll participate in the Shoebox Swap.

I am glad we have a lot of interest, hope everyone can make it. I am going to try to start a new thread so that this has more exposure, I will post a note when I do and I will have it clearer about how it all works for the newbies :-)

for another big stamping session, it has been too long!! I can host it at my neighborhood clubhouse, just $150 to rent the space and it already has tables and chairs and a kitchen area, bathroom, etc. Holds about 150 people. Just need to see if there is enough interested people, decide on a date and I will reserve the room. Depending on how many people sign up, it could be about $10 per person (to cover rental), then people can either pitch in for sandwiches or pizza, or bring their own sack lunch. How does April look for most people? How about April 19th or April 26th, those are Saturdays. This would be in Woodstock, GA, which is about 17 miles north of Marietta, Acworth, Kennesaw, Roswell areas and about 24 miles from Cartersville, and about 8 miles from Canton. About 30 miles to Dallas, or Alpharetta.
Everyone that would like to join, please answer back to this thread with the date that would work best for you.
I know I live in Alabama but I visit my sister often in Kennesaw. If I'm up there on the 19th and y'all have this on the 19th I'd love to come and bring my sister who is also a stamper!! I'll try to plan to be there on that weekend. I know I can't on the 26th though.
I thought I could get a new thread with more details up by last Friday, but life overtook me. Going to Get-R-Done tonight though. Please look for the new thread that I hope everyone will find, in which I will transfer names from the current list to. I guess I will call it Woodstock, GA April 2008 Get Together.
