That's funny. Danielle for some reason kept saying the 28th. Yesterday was her 1st day at her new job, Cracker Barrel. I reminded her to tell them that she needed the day off for our swap. So she came home and said "Mom, I told them I needed the 24th off" and I just gave her this weird look and said "No Danielle, it's the 28th." The look on her face was priceless, I wish I had the camera. Then I just started laughing.
Cant wait to see you all.
Beth ~ I'm cleaning up the craft room a bit, I'll have items for your bucket.
Have a great day everyone!!
Hugs,
Joani

Hi Ladies!
I am putting together a bucket of free stuff for everyone to look through. I cleaned out my office/scrap room and came up with a ton of stuff that I no longer need. There are stickers, embellishments, metals, brads...just a bunch of stuff! Some used, and some brand new!
So...if you can use it, feel free to take it! Also, if you have any stuff you want to add to the bucket, bring it with you! Your trash may be someone's treasure - right?
Also - don't forget that we will be collecting cards for OPERATION WRITE HOME again this time...if you have any to donate, I will have a basket to collect them!
Talk to you all soon!
Start the countdown!
Beth
Just a reminder for the OWH cards, no glitter, please!! It sitcks to the solider's uniforms and is visible with night vision goggles.

I could use a few laughs, too! Found out Friday that my hubby is laid off. No notice at all. He works from home and they called and said come get your check, we are eliminating your dept.

Oh Pam, I'm so sorry -- seems as though job security is a thing of the past, scary times! I hope your DH can find something better very soon!!!!
Hugs, Janice
P.S. Amanda - My name is spelled correctly, thx. Back to work on my 3D items!!!
I have had the worse time ever in preparing my 3-d project! I do not like it , no, not one bit - but have nothing else on hand to work with!
My apologies to all who receive one! So disgusted!:(

Betty, I'm sure you are over exaggerating. You have never done crappy work. I'm sure we all will love it!
We were talking about the Stampaway convention and I looked it up. It is on Aug 14th not the 7th as I had originally thought. I have to work on the 14th - drat!
Oh Beth ~ and everyone ~ thanks for the great day yesterday. I had a wonderful time!! It's so nice to get together and see everyone and sit and play for the afternoon. I was a bit out of sorts after we got home yesterday, it was earlier than normal.
I am already looking forward to next time. I love, love, l♥ve halloween!! And I still have my pumpkin out and ready
Maybe next time if we do a potluck (which was a great idea) we should have a recipie swap with it? I think that someone said something about that...
I loved the idea too about the "donations". Thanks for taking stuff off my hands for me everyone ~ less to carry home...
Sorry for the long post ~ but I just had to get my 2 cents in. Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend.
Hugs,
Joani

I agree whole heartedly. Once I found the place, lol, it was a blast! I really enjoyed all the cards and especially the 3D items. I brought some for donations and found other stuff I couldn't resist.
Beth,
I forgot to take me card kit makings home with me. Could you please mail it to me, I will PM you my address. Thanks.
I think the saying "you would forget your head if it wasn't attached fits me more every day!"
I would love the recipe card idea can't wait till we decide upon a theme so I can start dreaming about my projects, lol.
Have a great week ladies.
I loved the Trash to Treasure table! I kept going back and seeing something new everytime! I have a few 'goodies' to make into cards for OWH. My box is almost full now!
The potluck was great, everyone brought such yummy dishes!
Sunday was a great time just what I needed, can't wait till next time, and will still try to get some time together for scrapbooking and will let everyone know.
Ladies - your fellowship was just what this ole gal needed to perk up a bit. I adore this group of swappers~so much fun, good conversation and joking around (hey Pamela?)and of course foo and Joanne's fudge!
Beth - you went over the top this time! Loved the bingo game, door prizes and Lori thanks for fixing us up in this lovely retreat....
Still thumbing through the cards and cannot decide my favorite ~ guess I will choose them all LOL! Until next time - see ya!

We are a great bunch, arn't we??? :p Sometimes when you get a bunch of people together there is someone who is caddy or just that "one" that sticks out. But I think that we all mesh well together.
I really cant wait until next time. I can't remember, last October what cards did we do?? You all do know that October is around the corner. My goodness, the year is already 1/2 over!!
Hope you all have a great day!
Hugs,
Joani

I agree totally! This is a great bunch of talented ladies who do mesh well together!! I had so much fun Saturday! I know you are a great bunch who I feel totally comfortable with, I didn't even get embarrassed showing you all the gathered ribbon technique! I have a whole bag of flowers I have done absolutely nothing with so far, but they are fun to make!

Just a reminder for you to submit your recipies for your potluck dishes to me and I will combine them into one document for everyone!
I am still hunting for a better price on test tubes, so if you are interested in going in on a group buy for these, let me know.
I was talking with someone on how to re-stick your Cricut mats (can't remember who) but here is the link for a tutorial. This is what I do for mine and have been using the same 4 mats for 3 years! Here is the video link:YouTube - Episode 69- Making your Cricut mat sticky again

AND you did a great job of showing us another of your talents! I ADORE those ribbon flowers. I'm sure very soon you'll find a special way to use them!

OK ladies...I have found a plastic test tube that I think will work for most of our craft needs. Here is the picture:
These are plastic with a silver twist on cap. NO CORK!
We will have to buy in bulk (432 pieces) to get the best deal on the shipping and price per piece.
The 1x6" test tube is $.75 each (shipping included)
The 1x4" test tube is $.60 each (shipping included)
Please let me know how many you would be interested in and the size (4" or 6") and we can begin to look at the bulk purchase. I can also offer it up to some of the threads/groups that I participate in if we need more takers.
Personally, I would want the 6" tubes since that is the size that I have used in the past. Not sure how much you could get in the 4" one.....
I'll keep looking to see if I can get a better price....I'll keep everyone posted!
Beth
