Our next shoebox swap will be on Saturday, November 1, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Faith Fellowship Church, 4375 Ebenezer Road, Perry Hall, MD. No particular theme! There is room for 31 people to attend with each person bringing a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person to cover the hall rental and other expenses. Please fill out the attached form and mail in your $10 to reserve your space. No children under 18 years of age please.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each person to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card, and also have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
Please bring something to share for lunch. Lunch in August rocked!! When you sign up for the swap, please post what youll bring for lunch. We do not have use of an oven, so please do not bring anything to be baked or that needs to be heated up. Crock pots are welcome. There is a refrigerator we can use.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. And we will also be doing the card ministry drawings again, so feel free to bring your cards to donate. These can be old swap cards, card fronts, or even one of the cards you are doing for the swap. We collected a huge assortment of cards in August that has really kept our card rack full.
To sum up what youll need to bring shoebox swap (no theme), something to share for lunch, and cards for the card ministry if you'd like to donate any.
So start posting your RSVPs and what youll share for lunch. Any questions, post them here or PM me. Im hoping for a great turn out.
Once I receive your form and payment, Ill mark you paid.
So sad I won't be able to make it. It's my son's last football game of the season. Have fun!! I'm sure Marcia will show me all of the fabulous cards you make.
Marcia's going to have to show me all of the cards too! I won't be able to join you this time - will be at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta watching my daughter's last marching band competition. It'll be a good trip, but I'll miss you guys, and all of the wonderful cards :( See everyone soon - Cathy
Please add me to the list - I will send my registration form in right away. As for lunch, I will bring Corn & Black Bean Soup with Tortilla Chips. It's been so long since any event hasn't conflicted with something else and I am soooo having withdrawal pangs. I look forward to seeing everyone there! Thanks.
__________________ Stampin' my way into oblivion on a daily basis.
For those of you who I will see tomorrow, feel free to give me your registration form and payment then. Saves you guys a stamp. And also feel free to give me cash to save from writing a check.
Some ideas for lunch:
meatballs in a crockpot, BBQ in crockpot, veggies & dip, salads, desserts (homemade if possible), drinks (sodas, tea - last time there was a lot of regular soda and hardly any diet - please try and bring more diet for those who cannot drink the regular kind), deli tray
Cindy - please add Roxanne Mohler- she is another PA girl that loved what she saw from the last SBS. I will be send her your registration form and it will be up to her to finish it up and get you the money. Just spoke with Joan and she said sign her up too.
I've updated the list and I've marked those who paid me on Saturday (I think!!). I'm going by memory since all the paperwork/$ is at home, so if you did pay me and I don't have paid by your name, just let me know. I'll double check everything tonight.
And I want to mention that this is an Open Themed swap - not a Christmas/winter swap like I've had in the past. You can bring any type of card to make - get well, b-day, sympathy, thinking of you, etc.
