Hi Colleen,
Do you eveer go to shoe box swaps? There is one in Sun Prairie, 4th annual Mad-City Madness, coming up and alot of ladies from SCS always go to that.
It may be a good way to meet people closer to your area.
I live a little over 3 hours away from Milwaukee, but will be at Mad-City madness with some friends.
A group of us are going to be at Gina K's open house on Jan. 31 also. Her shop is great, it is just off of the beltline in McFarland. She just had a release party last night so lots of new stamp sets!!!!
You are more than welcome to come to our swap, Friendship, WI too, if you would like. We are about 3 hours away though, but it will be alot of fun.
Hi Coleen! Wow! I noticed this is your first post! (How on earth did you stay quiet since '05?! LOL!) I'm pming you for more details about your Milwaukee gathering -- I love, love, love to stamp, but am incredibly slow and not too far out of the "novice" category, so easily intimidated, but meeting some of us SCSers IRL is very motivating. It's so much nicer/more fun to chat when I know the other folk behind the screen ... so I'm very interested!

Thanks for responding! The Mad City event and the shoebox swap sound so fun! I am going to talk to my sister-in-law. My scrapping partner in crime about coming to both of those.
As for getting together in Milwaukee, my sister-in-law and I are starting a "cards for a cause'' campaign to work on 1x per month. My brother is a pastor for a church in Kenosha and has contacts with hospice', nursing homes, etc...that might love some cardstock cheer coming there way. So, Jean if you live in the area and want to join us..you are more than welcome. Mel, sounds like you are pretty far away to get together.
Colleen - This sounds like a great reason to get together and do some crafting! I live in Hartford, work in Milwaukee near Capital Drive & Hwy 45 N. PM me with dates and location info, perhaps I can be there to make & donate some cards.

I'm totally with jeaniebean here, I love to stamp, but I'm not very creative yet. I would love to get together, learn some new things, meet new people and really just get out for a little while! : ) (I have little ones at home...) Let me know when & where!
I too would be interested--please keep me posted. I am not able to attend the Mad City one coming up in March, but would be into something later in the year
Hey I was just going to post something like this for Milwaukee area gals and saw this thread!
I live in West Allis and have room for 10-12 people at a time in my house. I'd love to meet some new crafty gals! Sometimes it's fun to get together to work on your own projects... I know it motivates me!
