Ladies I have decided to cut off sign-ups 1 week before our event, so we who are waiting can get our swaps made! That would be Sept. 27th. We still have room for about 10 more, so if you know of anyone....
Ladies we lost three of our attendees this morning, which takes our numbers back down to 25. So if you have a friend who would be interested, we have room for another 10 people!! thanks for you help!
I finished my shoebox swap last night...and sorted my closet for extra ideas today....I may bring an extra shoebox swap...lol
Also, if you have a cool thing you want to share, a 3D item you made, a cool card, etc. feel free to bring them and we'll have a table for those items. I plan to bring my camera, I think most stampers do, so we can share those ideas with each other as well.
As far as the extra stamp/scrap time, I plan to bring my Cricut and cartridges, I can also bring my ink and scrap paper box to share...is there anything we may want that you wouldn't have to bring yourself? I can bring my punches if that would make it easier...I have most all of them. Let me know how I can best help you!
Since I am hosting this event at my church, I this event up to them. I have been doing cards with them there on and off, so they want to come! My shoebox swap isn't a card tho! I will be helping them get theirs ready this week.
I am planning my swap. What to do, what to do? I am getting very excited about the trip. I love to meet new stampers, and see all the different styles and creative ideas. Countdown is on.
Now are we making half and bringing half ready to make?
Since we haven't hit our max of 40 people, I have been making 30 swaps and not premaking any of them. If we get more people, I do think it will be a good idea to have some finished, but right now I'm comfortable thinking we'll have time to get them all done.
Our sign-up cut-off date is the 27th, so I will send final counts for everyone then.
If anyone has not yet sent me their registration fee, I would like to have those collected by the 27th so we know you will be coming so our count is accurate- I would be soooo disappointed if we had a bunch of flakers on the day of the event- as would everyone else who had prepped a swap, right?
Are most of you making cards for your shoesbox swap? I am helping a couple women from church make theirs and I have some really cute 3-D ideas, but mine is a 3-D project and I didn't want to overload us if you guys had other-than-card ideas. I personally love to see the creativity all of you have, just didn't figure you'd like 40 3-D swaps!
Let me hear from you so I can get these swaps done!
Aaagggh! Mine is going to be a card. I TOTALLY have to work on that this weekend. This get-together is getting really close! So psyched! (But also a bit behind.)

Duh! I guess I should tell you the name of the church, that might help, huh? Sorry. Anyway, the church is Forest Hill Baptist- a big white church on the corner of Forest hill-Irene and Winchester roads.
I have been out of town this past week.. and missing this thread So glad to be back home. Nothing quite like home. I made 30 swaps and didn't pre-make any of them. If I have to cut more that's ok too. Mine is a card. I'm not sure if I can waaaaiiiiitttttt.. hehehe.
Hey everyone! I am looking forward to my looooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg gggg drive to this event. Can't wait to spend time with the bestest upline ever & meet everyone else. I haven't decided on my swap yet. Hopefully soon!!
Now, about my swap . . . There is a small thing on it to cut out with scissors, and I'm not sure whether to cut it out or just stamp it and let everyone else cut it out, or to put a small piece of white paper in there and let everyone stamp it and cut it out. And should any of the stamping be pre-done? And what about corner punching and crop-a-dial hole inserting?
Basically, I need to know how much time should be allotted for a project, and I can adjust my shoebox swap from there. Does that make sense?

If your project is long or extra difficult, then I would do a few things ahead of time for people, otherwise, I would just let them do it all. But it's your project, so you can do whatever you think is best!
I have look thru all the messages...what time is the event?
It might be a good idea to recap the details, place, etc for those like me who are forgetful. I know you are cutting off sign ups on 9/27 so maybe after that. Just a thought.
Great idea, Jane! I updated post #1 with all the details I could think of right now. I will update with total number for the swaps after the 27th. I need to contact several of our ladies as I need to verify they still plan on coming since I haven't heard from them.
If you think of anything I missed, please let me know!
Hey ladies,
Personally the stamping is the part I like to do myself ( the fun part). That said, you know your project so do what you think is best, and I will be happy with whatever we make. Can't wait to make the trip.
I am hoping that I am still going to be able to make it, with my wound problems not sure if I will be able to too, but I am hoping that all will go well this week and can make it!!!!
