What: A Splitcoast gathering including a shoebox swap, a dirty stamper game, demos, games, lunch and lots of fun!!
When: Sat., Oct. 4th from 10-4, with time after for all who want to stay and stamp or scrap.
Where: Forest Hill Baptist Church at 3645 Forest Hill-Irene Rd. Germantown, TN- corner of Forest Hill-Irene and Winchester roads
Who: Anyone who likes to stamp!
RULES FOR SHOEBOX SWAP:
*Full cards only - if your project is a card (You can choose any project--cards, 3-D, mini-books, 6x6 scrapbook pages, etc. Think outside the card :smile
*SU products and current SU stamps are preferred.
*Make sure to bring enough supplies for each person to make or take a card.
*Bring everything needed for the card--this means the stamps, the ink, the embellishments, hole punchers, cutting tools, scrub pad and mist, etc. Please label your items with your name or initials. Each person should bring their own basic adhesive to use at the different stations.
*Pre-cut as much as possible and put all of the ingredients into individual baggies. It helps to have one baggie per person so that if we run out of time, we can grab the bag and assemble it at home. It helps if you have the directions on a sheet as a guide. In case you can't finish the project at the event, it would be nice if you could include your name (real and SCS), and your email address or blog address in with each baggie, so that others have your contact info. if they have a question when they get home about how to complete the card.
*Make a sample for your station and put your name with it so we know who designed each card as we move around the room.
*Bring your best ideas and work!!
DIRTY STAMPER GAME:
This is such a fun game! Everyone always enjoys this, if you have never played it, you must try it!
*Gifts should have at least a $15-$20 original value. If you find a deal, that's great for you, but make sure the original price was $15-20 so that everyone is receiving a gift of equal value to what they gave. Ask yourself if it's something you would like to receive, and if it is, more than likely another gal would like it too!
*Wrap the gift!!
*Gifts can be SU products, hand made crafts, any stamp or scrapping related product, etc. Please make sure they are stamp/scrap focused items.
*If you bring a stamp set, please don't use used sets. Only new, unmounted sets should be used as a gift. Please no Sale-a-bration or level 1 hostess sets.
*We will draw numbers and go over the rules before we start.
LUNCH AND SNACKS:
*Lunch will be provided. I have ordered BBQ, which comes with slaw and beans. There will also be chips, and other items, as well as desserts.
*There will be munchies to snack on, as I am a chocoholic, there will be chocolate present. If you would like to bring a snack to share, please feel free to do so.
*I will provide 1 water bottle per person, as well as a variety of 2-liter sodas. If there is a certain flavor you must have, or if you are an avid drinker, you may want to bring some with you. There is a frig available where you can keep them cold.
DEMO'S
*If you would be willing to demonstrate a cool technique or product, we would love to see it, please PM me so we don't duplicate things. I have a couple of ideas, but would love for someone else to get involved!
COST:
To keep things simple, the cost will be $10 per person. This will include the building rental, lunch, snacks and sodas, as well as all door prizes. You will only need to bring your shoebox swap and your dirty stamper game prize!
