Stomach is making lots of noise today again. Off to MY groomer today. Definitely an immediate need. Best thing is I dont have to try to fix my hair before I go out.
Toby scared the crap out of me just a couple minutes ago. Im sitting here and he starts barking, really barking, which is unusual. He is looking at the front door! Since he is deaf, I know he didnt hear anything. He keeps looking at the door tho. Of course Im thinking in my usual calm way - what if someone dumped something in front of my door, like a bomb or a body? Of course no one or nothing was there. Do you think Ive been reading too many murder/horror books?
I want to make one more big trip out to Kohls and then my shopping should be done. Any good ideas for stocking stuffers? They are always the hardest, especially Ryan. I got a stupid gift for each one so now I need more practical ones. Guess I'll hit up Target sock section for one. lol.
Hope your tummy is feeling better today Rose! And yes, I think you are reading too many murder mysteries! lol I sure hope no one drops a body off in front of your door! Even though Toby is deaf, he can probably sense when something is going on. Mine will carry on too like there is someone outside but when I go to look there is not a soul there. Sometimes I think they do it just to make me get up and look!
Still have a bit of shopping to do myself, nothing major, just some things I need to finish up and stocking stuffers too! One of the things I always get Dean is chapstick, he uses it year-round so that's a good item. Don't know if your grandkids use it or not. And of course I load him up with his favorite candy and nuts. How about little hand creams for the girls?
Good Books: Marcia Maron, Sue Grafton, Sara Paretsky, Marcia Muller, Faye Kellerman (start with A Taste of Honey - at least I think that was the name of the book....)Lee Childs and John Sanford-Virgil Flowers books....Need more ideas? Let me know.....I love a good murder. Rose, I can't tell you to read these books....scary stuff and you need to not read them to Toby! Hope you are feeling better today?

Picked up the bowling towel from Amanda today. It's great & he'll love it. It'll go with the t-shirt I got him that says "Grab your balls we're going bowling" LOL!
Sinuses are kicking my butt so off to the doctor's tomorrow morning. Hope she gives me something to stop this cough & stuffiness. Haven't felt like doing much. Luckily I'm finished shopping. Thank goodness for the Internet! The last three packages came today.
Gloria, I'll look you up on FB. Haven't had a chance to use my Silhouette yet. Maybe we can get together one day & figure it out.

Hi all. Thanks for the ideas for the stockings. I actually do put that stuff in. Still have to get the scratch offs tho. Its the most popular thing. I have to go to the grocery store so will gdet them there.
For some reason I thought Christmas eve was Tues. That is when we do our Christmas exchange. Oh now, it's MONDAY. ARGH!
i did finish up a lot today at Kohls and Target. I feel better about that anyhow. Now I have to wrap. Why do I buy so much????? Need to make some gc holders too and cash holders. We'll see if that gets done. My ugly tree is up and decorated and the snow village is done, altho not as much on it as usual. Cant find the door decoration I wanted to use or Ryan's stocking. Thats what happens when you have too much stuff.

Gotta love drugs!! My doctor gave me Prednisone yesterday for bronchitis & I feel good! I went shopping at 3 stores this morning & I was feeling pretty good. Usually one store & I'm ready to come home. Too bad I can't take this all the time!!
Busy day...took Sadie to the groomers this morning & Mom to the groomers this afternoon. I think I'm finished shopping. Of course I keep saying that & then I buy more. Hubby cleaned while I was shopping. Just need to wrap the girls' birthday presents for tomorrow & a few Christmas presents. Time to relax & enjoy now.

The ads on SCS are getting interesting. I just had a Macy's ad for men's Calvin Klein undies. The ad says Be Merry and the young model has a tight pair of orange briefs on! have ya seen it?

Dining room table is piled high w/gifts and i HAVE to start wrapping. I did find some other boxes. Anyone like to wrap? you can stop by any time today.

Last night my daughter and I went to Wine and Design (wineanddesignus.com) We each painted a lady in ball gown. Everyone brings wine and snacks, they provide all the supplies (16 x 20 canvas, paint, brushes, paper plate pallets, easels, apron) and step by step instruction. It was a fun evening! Here's me and my painting...

No wrapping here yet either! Yesterday was Dean's family's Christmas get-together so didn't get anything done here. Today is cleaning and last minute decorating, then will wrap tomorrow. Don't really have a lot to wrap as the kids and grandkids are getting money so that's as easy as it gets! Not gonna stuff the stockings until I get home from church tomorrow night. Gotta wait until Dean goes to bed!
Thanks! I was nervous and not so sure about doing this, but DD gave me the session with her as my Christmas gift, so I went along. It was a lot of fun. If there is something like this up there (so far there are no Wine and Design franchises in MD, but there may be others similar to it), the Meade gals would have a blast I am sure! (they do private parties - I think they require a minimum of 10 or you can go to a open session as we did.)

Thanks Jane! Don't think DD is trying to steer me in a different direction! It is nice that she would include me in this fun activity! Not sure what you are referring to about the wedding - she got married over 4 years ago (and the other DD got married this past Sept)
Unplanned trip in a few minutes!!! DD and I (and maybe DS and DH) are heading south to meet other DD -- too bad I already sent their Christmas packages - it would have been much more fun to hand deliver them! We will have lunch and a quick visit then return home.

I am sitting here trying to sew the finger of my leather glove. Not very pretty! Nothing like the great job you did on my sweater! Otherwise, just puttering and trying to wrap my head around the idea that my time off is almost over and it is back to the mill tomorrow.........................sigh!

Well Ms. G, my glove suffers from old age. See, I have hands like my feet. Square, short fingers and swollen knuckles. I love my old gloves because the don't put too much pressure on the knuckles and they sort of fit my short square hands. So.........I took a needle and thread and sort of stitched up the middle finger so it doesn't have a hole. Works for me but like I said, not pretty. I am not taking the class as I have a personalized journal and I love it. It was made by a special friend and it is beautiful! I could never match it in quality. Have fun.....maybe I will "need" to shop Saturday to harrass ya'all! Kathis have fun and keep her in line will ya?

Just finished another album. I wanted to make this for a long time. Well, it seems like it was a long time but I guess not really. lol Well I thought I was going to post a pic but Splitcoast is asking for the URL. I don't know. Shucks who do they think they are talking too. Hello--Its me. the dummy that knows nothing about computers except to turn it on and post here, emails and facebook. Guess I better try this on Facebook. See you all over there.

Oh that would be cool to have you guys come and join us for lunch! The class is from 11-2. I've never taken a class there before so I don't know if the timeframe is strict or if they go over but that's what time it's supposed to end. But whether or not, it will give you more time to shop!
