Kathi, if he gets cut bad anywhere he needs to have it checked. That crap is nothing to fool with anymore. There is way too much Shizzle around. We need a stamp that says Designed by my creative stamping friend! Amanda, I am bringing the pasta dish but do you need anything else? I will make the dish tomorrow. Can't wait.
I think we're good. Last time I looked at the food list it looked balanced and YUMMY! What kinda pasta salad? I Love pasta salad!

Regarding mailing out swap cards....we made those cards fair and square. I stamp the back with my "A hand-made card by Angie Gittles especially for you" stamp. If someone else made it and gave it to me...that's totally different...no stamp on the back!
So...you've probably noticed I've been a bit out of sorts lately...will be glad to get past the holidays. It's not that I don't like the holidays, trust me...I do. Today I had a 4:00 chiropractic appointment and was to go in to work late after the appointment. BUT...I totally forgot about it. I got to work a little before 4 and everyone is like - "I thought you had an appointment at 4 - we were looking forward to a report on how it went!" I was stunned....I just froze in my tracks, and said "Oh my God...I totally forgot..." Not only that, but I made my dinner to bring with me...left it right in the frig. I need the next couple of weeks to be over with. December 18th and the weeks leading up to it are not good....you'd think after 8 years it wouldn't bother me. Maybe next year will be the year.

Gloria, I was at Michael's on Mountain Rd today & they had some Silhouette stuff. I didn't see any of the machines, but they had the mat, the blade replacement, some rolls of vinyl, & other accessory types of stuff. They had gift cards to use in the online Silhouette store to buy files. They even had the upgraded software I might need to buy. I wonder if they'll eventually sell the Cameo & Portrait.
Guess I need to take a trip to Michaels. Of course I don't know what I am getting. lol Its good to know they are carrying supplies for it.
Angie, sorry you are feeling down but I can totally understand. Hope you are feeling better soon.
I had a great time at lunch today. I guess they liked the ornaments. There was too much stuff going on to know for sure. If not I don't want to know.

Angie - understand your feelings. A mixed blessing at the holiday - I love them but at the same time I think about happy times past with my family members who are no long here. Then a friend sent me a link to Luther Vandross's "Dance with my Father Again" and I made the mistake of listening to that. We were talking about things that "set us off" so she sent me hers. Wah....... Memories of jitterbugging w/my Dad. Glad I have happy memories tho.
Angie - I'd be afraid we would scare off Mr. G. LOL.
Still trying to decide what to bring Sat. The pressure! ARGH. Then I totally forgot about wrapping the gift. ARGH. Better get off here. ARGH.

Kathi - so glad DH went to the dr when he did. Why do they do that???? I dont like infections. Espec like Jane said - today there is a lot of viscious stuff around. Hope he's feeling better soon.
Angie, you are just stressing because you are busy getting O-all the stuff done. Making new memories doesn't erase the old, it does, however, lighten the load. Go ahead and make lots of new memories. And if you need Christmas cards, I have extra!:p

I can't imagine your house messy even with two boys. And we wouldn't care if it was. I am finally ready. Got my Chili Cheese appetizer in the oven. Gotta go to Jenny's to weigh in. Change out of my weigh in clothes and then I will be there. Keep me a spot.
Paula, some time during the evening or last night the Fed Ex guy left my Sihoulette on my front porch. Not to happy about that. I didn't find it until this morning. The kids behind me must be slipping because they didn't get it. hee hee

Okay, so Gloria needs to give me her recipe. I ate two of those squares and wanted more. I will eat those and the pumpkin stuff. Loved all the food. It makes me hungry just thinking about it. I am the proud owner of a Gloria FOREVER Calendar and trust me, I will make it last forever. It is beautiful. I can't wait for things to settle down at our house so I can play with my new today and MAYBE I will be able to cut straight! I got that gret cutter. Anyone need another cutter.....I have an orange one to give away!

I've been following this thread since it started several years ago. I live one exit past Frederick, MD and with working in DC, your events at Fort Meade are just a bit too far for me to attend. However, my husband now works on Fort Meade. I wonder if I could convince him to stop by... LOL!

Yes, like Rose said it's a long drive but worth it for swaps! We have a couple of girls that come from either Westminster, northern Baltimore or York, PA. Hope you can make it sometime!!
I have been away for a week with my mom for her surgery and then trying to catch up on life. She's doing so well that today they moved her to her own room on another floor. No more ICU!! And if the Xray tomorrow looks good they will take out the tube in her nose/throat and she can start re-learning to swallow liquids. Thanks so much for all your prayers!

Gee Amanda, I am so unobservant. I see buttons and don't even look at them. Angie, I hope the blues turn red and green soon. Love the past but live for the future. Jeff is delightful! A total warm and fuzzy kind of man. Gloria, recipe! It is hump day and I am struggling but I will get through it. I have no decorations up and at this stage and might not do any this year. I want to get finished with the porch and embrace the new year with a plan! We need to make Christmas cards at the January swap. It will start us off right. I like Angie's idea. Or have a Christmas card making day where eveyone brings ONE Christmas set and we play! OH for some play time! Have a happy hump day all.

I don't put anything up except a wreath on my front door so that's all I have to do to get ready and then it's easy to take down. It also helps that no one comes to my home during the holidays. If you just look at my front door, you might think it's decorated inside too! Works for me.
Does SCS look different to you? It's different for me today. I see and Edit Button, Quote Button, and Arrow Button, and Unapprove?
Amanda, I noticed that SCS re-designed their web site a couple weeks ago, without even checking with me first. I hate to get use to a new web site when I am familiar with the old one. I'll look at it again to see what you are talking about.

Amanda, no extra buttons for me either. I know every once in a while SCS looks different, they change the font or something and I don't like it!
I have very few decorations up this year either, just the tree and a few other things. I still have my fall tablecloth and centerpiece on the dining room table, will put the Christmas ones on this weekend. Like Amanda said, the more you put up, the more you have to take down!
Angie, hope you are feeling better, Christmas is definitely a time when we think about people and traditions we miss. I miss my Dad and the great Christmases we used to have with my parents but I know all things must change and I am trying to start some new traditions with my family and friends. I think Mr. G will definitely help with making this Christmas and the coming year much brighter for you! He is a keeper for sure!
