I would love to find some fellow stampers on LI. I live on the border of Nassau and Suffolk, looking to find a group to stamp and scrap with (none of my friends stamp or scrap). Anyone out there?
I'm in southern westchester and am in LI a lot - West Islip area. We're proabably about 45 minutes away from one another. If you're interested in getting together PM me. I don't use my stamps as much as I should. -Jen
I live on Long Island too (almost a year) ... there are 2 LSS that I like a lot. One is in Centereach and is the closer one. My BFF recently signed on to teach some classes there this month and next (and probably ongoing)!
The other one is in North Babylon. I slightly prefer this one because I stamp and make cards much more than I scrapbook. Plus it's near some relatives.
If anyone arranges a get-together (scrapbooking, cardmaking, coffee drinking, chocolate eating) please feel free to PM the details. I have met many friends (cyber and real) through Splitcoast and it would be wonderful to make some new ones near where I now live.

Yep, that's me! (Thanks, Tina!) I'll be teaching at Not Just Scrap in Centereach. The info. is on my blog; but if you want more details, just send me a PM. Hope to see you there!
We had a wonderful time in the class! There were 4 wonderful ladies, including my BFF Tina (TeeGeeDee). We're all looking forward to my next class, watercolor cards. I hope to meet even more people at that one.

It was lots of fun! I think the best part is seeing the different cards we each created from the same supplies with the same technique!
And it was great to meet 3 nice ladies that I already have at least one thing in common with.
Stamp, scrap----and eat? What's the system for the food?
Hello ~
I'm not sure I understand what you want to know (not enough coffee yet today ;)).
At yesterday's class the store owner had bowls filled with candy (mints, bite-size candy bars). My BFF (the teacher) and I made prior plans to have dinner after the 2-hour class.
I've gone to all-day shoebox swaps (6-8 hours) where each participant brings something for sharing (beverages, entrees, snacks) and others where the fee includes the meal (often catered sandwiches or pizza).
