Okay, I had the coolest thing happen the other day. When we lived in Alaska, we became really close friends with one of my husband's troops and his wife, Chris and Kacey. Well, we saw them last year when they were on their way from Montana to Texas for a reassignment. And then we lost touch with them. We gave them our phone # and addy and they lost it somewhere. So we hadn't heard from them for the past year.
Well, Friday night Kacey went to an SU party there in Texas and someone there gave her info on SCS. She came here and was looking through scrapbook pages and came across my name and a comment I had made on a page. SHE EMAILED ME AND SENT PICTURES!!! This was one girl I was so sad to lose touch with. Her hubby is such a good guy too...when I was preggers with Kaitlynn and DH, Dennis, was deployed (over 4 years ago now), Chris was there taking care of me, shovelling walks and driveway, checking in on me when he was on shift, and he even went to Drs appointments with me. He heard Kaitlynn's heartbeat before Dennis did! Dennis and I watched the two of them get together and were so happy when Chris married Kacey!
Woohoo SCS!!! Amazing I tell ya! If it wasn't for this place...thanks for the "hook-up"!! ;)
That is so amazing, Robyn!!! Don'tcha just love when fate works it's magic? I hope you are able to rekindle your friendship after all these years. Super cool feel good story!
That is really awesome! This has grown into such a huge site that it is entirely possible that it could happen to many others too! I think that would be the coolest to come back into contact with an old friend this way. And you both have stamping in common!
this is wonderful...makes me wonder...Joanne Kuharski are you out there...last I knew you left London, after being in Grand Bend for the summer and moved back out west...this is at least 25 years ago...Rebecca

Wow Miss Robyn! You have friends everywhere! Lucy is wearing a cute little onesie type shirt with a K on the tag!
Thanks again for your kindness!!
Hey everyone, Robyn is sooooo cool!
Nancy,
I have more to send her. What size is she in? Need to get these in the mail to you. Some really cute dresses and wonderful winter clothes. PM and let me know...
And thanks for thinking that I am cool....takes one to know one.
As for knowing people everywhere, one of my friends from AK thought I should make bumper stickers with "Honk if you know Robyn" on them. Well, he is on a deployment in Qatar right now and my upline just went there, so she is going to go into his office and ask for a horn.;) I guess I have never met a stranger...
