Lauri.... is there a theme of some sort for the scrap swap??? Maybe holidays or colors or months or techniques or anything??? I need some direction or I'll get all discombobulated.......

There is no theme for the scrap swap - you can do whatever you like!!

I've just had one more person PM me wanting to attend our event. I've asked her to send me her swap choices, if any, right away.
There are about 8 registrations that I have not received yet. I'm sure they will come in the next day or two, but I will PM those folks and ask them to PM me their swap choices so we can get our final count. I will give a deadline of Friday.

1) I am only waiting for two more people to get their swap/gift exhange information to me. Whatever we have on Friday evening will be our final count.
2) Just wanted to remind you about the extra prize drawing we will be having for anybody that brings a card or cards to be donated to the church's card ministry where our event will be held. Card fronts are accepted as well as the organizer of this ministry will mount them on full cards.
3) We will be having a "name our gathering contest" and the author of the winning name will win a prize!! So get to thinkin' of a catchy little name for our gathering and enter this contest on the 20th- I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

Could you clarify one thing for me? The 'name the gathering' contest...........does it all take place at the gathering, to name the group for future gatherings, or are you taking submissions now, to be drawn at the gathering?

Nope, we are not taking submissions now, we are doing it all at the gathering on 09/20. We are hoping to make this an annual event and I though it would be nice if we had a snappy little name for our gathering! I wanted to give everybody a heads up so you all can be thinking!! I tried to think of a snappy little name myself, but as as you can see by the creation of this contest, I failed!! I think it will be fun to see whateverybody comes up with.

I called the new Hobby Lobby store in Webster to see if they were still opening on the 9th. She said they are open now and their grand opening will be on Monday. I don't have time to go today but I think I'll stop in on Monday morning to check it out. I need to pick up some things to do my shoebox and card swap. If I don't find it there then I I can swing over to Joanns.

I went to our new Hobby Lobby in Webster tonight and I will certainly be going back!! I was in a Hobby Lobby for the first time in Florida last spring and I have been very impatiently waiting for ours to open and it was certainly worth the wait!! Just wanted to share!

I've never been to a Hobby Lobby store so I'm excited to check this one out. I figured I'd go Monday morning after I get the kids on the bus. That way I can take my time and really check everything out. Do you know if there are going to be any in store specials for the grand opening on Monday. I didn't know if maybe they stuck a flyer in your bag or were advertising something for the opening. I'm glad you liked the store it makes me more excited to check it out.

They gave us a flyer as we walked in, but no coupons. Luckily I had the insight to check on line for coupons before we went and viola, there they were. I was going to ask if the accepted coupons from other craft stores, but I forgot. I also intended to ask if they accepted multiple coupons, but forgot that as well. I'm hoping that there will be a flyer in Sunday's paper!!

I went to do my grocery shopping at Holt Rd Wegmans and I couldn't believe that the Hobby Lobby was already open!! WooHoo!! My first time in one and I loved it!! I got a couple of stamps and the checkout girl said there would be a flyer and 40% off coupon in the Sunday paper and also you can sign up on their website to get the coupons emailed to you each week!! I haven't checked it out though. Best thing is that it is only 10 minutes away!!(who is jealous of me??)

We've had another request to join our gathering from Robin (NYTripletMommy)!! She would like to participate in the SU only card front and I've added her to the count as I assured her that it would not be a problem at all!! Robin will also be participating in the handmade gift swap.
I've also had a request from another gal who would like to join us as well and am waiting to hear back from her regarding what, if any, swaps she would like to join.

If anybody has any concerns with our accepting new people with regards to swap counts, please let me know. I know that we finalized them on Friday night, but I just have a hard time excluding anybody that wants to join our group and our swaps. Again, if anybody has any conernes, please PM me right away. My gut tells me that you ladies will not have a problem with this, but felt I should address for any who feel differently. Thanks.
