I got an email that I was chosen. Anybody else? If I remember correctly, we get a gift certificate for participating. Woohoo! Can't remember how much, but I'm excited.
I've been chosen to participate in two groups...
Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 9:45am

I was chosen for three on Friday! WOO HOO....how in the world did I get so lucky to be chosen for THREE? OMG...I'm excited about it. I was nervous and scared but now I'm excited and can't wait.
Just so y'all know, I'm going to be too excited to recognize anybody from their avatars. So when that crazy lady walks in and hollers, "Which of you is from SCS?!" just go ahead and answer so I don't have to root you out.

It's great to be selected for three groups (I think) but it really cuts into the rest of my time. I hope it's going to be worth it. My first group is at 9:45, I think, and then again at 1:30 and 4:30 or something like that. I know my first one is before 10am, that much I can say. My luck there will be a hike and a half between where the focus groups are held and where the booths are so that I miss all of Friday to browse the booths! LOL
Anybody have any idea what will be expected of us?
I was chosen for 3. Friday at 11 and 1:30 and Saturday at 2:45pm. My dilemma...I signed up to attend workshops during these focus groups. What to do? Any suggestions?
I participated in a focus group today for the Yarn Council. We got a lovely set of bamboo knitting needles as our gift.

I did the Creative Imaginations one as it turned out and sat next to one SCS person but can't remember her name. We got an AMAZING goody bag full of stuff. Paper, foil, felt paper, and more. It was chock full.
I did one for Tulip yesterday - tye dye kit and heat press. Got nothing out of it, but the guy is suppose to send us some stuff. He didn't realize we were promised a gift for participating.
It was fun to participate, but I wouldn't do it for nothing since I had to give up an hour of the show to do it and my mom and son had to care for my 3 year old while I was doing it.
I missed my last focus group on Friday. I got so wrapped up on the trade floor and lost track of time. It's been bugging me just wondering what I missed out on and how hard I should kick myself in the butt. Can anybody tell me what happened on Friday at 4:00 pm in room W206C? I would love to know what it was about and what goodies I missed out on. Honestly, I enjoyed the focus groups so much that I would do them again, with or without the goodies.
I did 2 focus groups, and we disappointed in my "gifts" for participating. I got a t-shirt from one, and the other didn't really give us anything. we did get a coupon to their booth for 25% off, and some little sequency type things. Oh well...I try to think of it as at least I got a chance to shape the future of some of the things.
TanyaL...I did the Friday @ 4. It was one from CHA themselves. It was run by Sandy something...one of the top 3 executives from CHA. They asked about our whole opionion of the show and the process of preparing for it. They gave us a t-shirt or an apron and a $5 Starbucks card.

Oh thank goodness! They probably wouldn't have wanted me in that group anyhow! Let's just say I was a bit disappointed in the show as a whole.
Somebody told me that the 'gifts' where suppose to be at least a $25 value. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with the first two groups. As somebody else mentioned, the Yarn Council gave us a set of bamboo knitting needles and GlueArts gave us all kinds of great stuff with a hint of more to come.
I was picked for 3 focus groups however couldn't do any because all my workshops were scheduled during the time of the focus groups. Then the find out my first class was canceled. Very disappointing. I met a women who 3 of her 4 classes were canceled. Not good at all.
