Thanks and I will ... I plan to go to the hospital tom'w afternoon. Latest report is somewhat better but the bay's still a preemie and in need of surgery.
My twins were born at 27 weeks. They will be 20 next month! PM me if you (or they) would like to talk. I'm also on LI. My girls were born at Winthrop. Where is the baby? My thoughts are with them. Be in touch....
Thanks for the wishes ... I was told they are at LIJ (Lake Success?). I didn't find a listing w/ a Lake Success address so I am hoping my DH can speak with his brother or nephew this morning.
I won't be able to get online until after I plan to leave for the hopsital (and home is not the direction I need to travel in so I don't want to detour). Hopefully DH finds out a street address to plug into our GPS!
I'm going to tell them about everyone's wishes and stories but I also think I might print them and make a collage-style scrapbook page. Feedback on this idea is welcome!
Thanks ... just read an email and the baby's surgery will be later today. This is a change from when I visted Monday afternoon (at that point it was going to be Wed, Thu or Fri); the email did not have any other info and given that I'm typing at almost 5 am I did not make any calls. We'll just wait to be updated and continue to keep them in our thoughts/prayers.
And, ebs427, LIJ was in New Hyde Park. Our (outdated) GPS got me most of the way there but I had to look for blue hospital signs to actually find it. The surgery will be "next door" at ... a children's hospital. The parents will spend 1-2 nights at the on-site Ronald McDonald House.
It may be awhile before I get back online ... I already had something scheduled for 1-8 tomorrow and have to spend the morning taking care of something for my FIL. And my ealier couch nap (that lasted almost 5 hours) is wearing off so I'll sleep a few more hours onch DH has left for work (in less than an hour).
Yes the date is set. It was already settled when we met in March in CT.
The Jersey swap will be october 8th.
We'll have a thread up soon and give you the link.
Also yes we could definitely have a recipe swap!

Thanks to Linda B and Gayla we finished 679 cards today from what you ladies from NY, NJ, and CT donated!!! That includes some assembling backers to card fronts (I had done a ton while watching TV the last few weeks and sorting into catagories), stamping sentiments on the inside of some cards, putting envelopes and From Our Hearts labels with them and putting them into clear jackets or bags. WOO HOO!! That's 3 boxes shipping out Monday!
The Hamburg Gathering in New York August 28th on Split Coast is up and running. It is great time and you will learn 6-7- Fabulous Folds, have the shoe box projects the night before and meet new friends. Have a great day and hope to see some of you ladies there.

How and when do you get info on these events and how do you sign up? I am eager to attend especially if in CT or close by. Looking forward to the next event.
Give me a couple of days to gather info from friends. The Utica gathering is Sept 10th but still in planning stages, there is one in Conn. and in New Jersey. I'll let you know.

Hi all, I was planning an Autumn swap but once Phil got sick that plan went by the wayside. Any stampers in CT who want to get together on a small scale, just pm me!
Hi all, Phil was given 6 to 9 months back in April. We see a big difference in the heat. Our new puppy is due home the second week in August. The only way I could do an Autumn swap like we did in the Spring if someone was willing to take over at the last minute should the need arise. I can call the Police Department and see when the room is available.
