EARLY REGISTRATION: September 30 --> $32 (save $3) LAST CHANCE REGISTRATION: October 11 --> $35
This event will be held on the lower level. There is a short flight of stairs.
This thread is our primary means of communication. You'll want to check in often to be fully informed, so please SUBSCRIBE to this thread. Participant paid list and swap lists will be updated ONLY when registration forms with payments are received. It is fine to post here that you are coming and which swaps you're interested in, but lists will be updated only once your registration arrives. Thank you for understanding.
********************************* It's an entire day of stamping fun so plan to join us at the original Central New York Shoebox Swap.
Cost – $32.00 by check or PayPal Friends & Family when paid by September 30. Last chance for registration ($35.00) is 5 o'clock on October11. This will give you a solid 3 weeks to complete your swaps and projects. Registration form is at the bottom of this post. There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else.
Please make up 16 project kits (plus oopsies) PLUS 2completed projects. You'll also want some extra parts for those "oopsies". The completed projects will be displayed at your table, on boards so that everyone can get pictures of all of them. The projects pinned to the boards will go home with me. (Thank you.)
SWAPS: Participate in none, one, some or all. It's up to you. All card swaps are full cards.
Stampin' Up! only full card (must be current SU! for this one) - FINAL COUNT 16
Sympathy full card - NVR (NVR = no vendor requirement) - FINAL COUNT 12
Make it Manly - cards for the guys - NVR - FINAL COUNT 15
Gift Tag - approximately index card size - NVR - FINAL COUNT 12
Bookmark - yes, some of us still read physical books so something fun to keep track of where we left off - NVR - FINAL COUNT 13
Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – Bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not pre-stamped or prepunched) needed for xx to make your project the day of the event. Quality products are mandatory. There are several threads that discuss qualities of a good swap. Please read them if you are unsure or ask here. Your shoebox project will be set out in the morning. You will work on your table's projects in the morning and move to a different table, graze, shop garage sale items and move to a different table in the afternoon. GOOD DIRECTIONS ARE REQUIRED TO BE POSTED WITH YOUR SHOEBOX but you'll also briefly describe your project for the room at large. Yes, you are in essence a demo for the day! Make 16 kits plus 2 additional completed shoebox projects. Participation in the table shoebox project is mandatory. This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. Projects should take NO MORE THAN 10-15 minutes to complete. If you are unsure, time yourself or someone else doing your project.
Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the food item you will bring to share. Please be specific; don’t just say “food”! Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts, and snacks. We love to try your food specialties! Water will be provided. No coffee this time unless there's huge outcry here.
“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk. There is a very limited table space for garage sale items. If you are bringing a lot to sell, BYO table. Please have items priced and include your name somewhere obvious.
Goodie Bags – for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value but may have variations in colors, etc. If you would like to donate to the goodie bags, please message me.
We'll happily accept door prizes (new condition and stamping related, please). It's fantastic that we can give so much away so please consider donating.
Other Stuff – Please bring your own LABELED items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without: favorite adhesive(s), bone folder, paper trimmer, scoring tool, scissors, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! If you leave something behind, I can't return it without a name to ID it. Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.
Simple name tags will be provided.
SHARE THIS EVENT WITH A NEWBIE OR FRIEND. ALL ARE WELCOME.
Complete the registration form and forward with your payment no later than October 11. All funds collected will be spent on the event.
If you have any questions, please ask!

I'm in! (I already see my name on the list!!)
I like the swaps! I was going to suggest "bookmark" but never did. Now I need to decide how many swaps I'm going to do...
__________________ A good friend and a glass of wine is all I need to get by...and some stamping supplies too!
Becky, sorry I couldn't get to updating yesterday. We were unexpectedly called to help with the grands. But here I am bright and early today to confirm that you are registered and the thread updated. Tell your friends!
Welcome, Dolores. Always love to have new participants at our gathering.
I'll update swaps after payment is received. Don't forget to let me know about your food item and if you're thinking of donating a stamping-related door prize.
Are you able to access the registration form that's in the very first post? That gives all the details. If you cannot, LMK and I will get the info to you another way.
Further updates to swaps and details in Post #1 will be made over the weekend and I will post when everything is finalized. Please plan on shoeboxes for all 16 participants. You'll also need an additional two to be completed cards. One to pin up on the display board(s) and one for your spot at the table; the latter with simple instructions.
All final counts are posted. Please reach out to your friends who may not be regularly checking Splitcoast to share the numbers. There are no +1s for door prizes on any of the swaps or on the shoebox projects because of the high counts on all.
You will have the opportunity to make all of the 16 projects. If time becomes an issue, be sure to finish the things that you can't accomplish without the supplies once you get home...like stamping, a particular ink color, die cutting, embossing, etc. If you do not want to make all of the projects, that is perfectly okay. I suggest you take the supplies along just in case you change your mind or want to change things up.
Speaking of die cutting and embossing, it is helpful if as much of this as possible is done ahead of the event.
Please ask any lingering questions. I'm here to help.
