Look for the tall steeple on your right.
ENTRANCE...... when you park, you will be entering through the double doors on the left. There will be a neon sign on the doors - can't miss it.
It will look like it’s the third left – but it’s not.
Nametags: Please either make or have a nametag. If you could include your real name as well as your SCS name (if you have one) that would be great. Most stamp it, but that is not a requirement. We want to be able to put the name to the face :-) We will also take a brief moment to introduce ourselves at the "beginning" when everyone is there. I sure know that I didn't get to meet everyone last time!
Card Front: 26 are participating. Thus, please make 26 fronts that are the same. If you are unsure what this means, it is CS cut to 4 x 5 (like a card with the back cut off). Layer and embellish as you please with what you please. Bring an empty shoebox/box for this and we will “walk and drop”. I will have tables set up that we can place the boxes on, and you can drop the fronts in as you walk by. We will do this after everyone has arrived. Please sign the back of your work so we know who to recognize and thank for the great work! A recipe is optional, not required. (A recipe is a listing of the CS you used, stamps, inks, markers, papers, etc.)
Recipe Swap: 11 are participating. The recipe cards are 6x6. Embellish and stamp as you choose. Please sign the back of your work so we know who to recognize and thank for the great recipe and card.
Door prize: If you are choosing to participate, you bring a door prize wrapped. Later in the day we will draw numbers and do a yankee swap. #1 picks a prize and doesn’t open it...#2 either takes #1’s or another prize, and so on. **Please keep this to $5. It can be stamped or purchased**
Shoebox Swap: We will divide into groups of 7. Please provide enough materials for 6 projects (unless you want to make one of your own that day). Previous to the day, please complete 4 additional complete projects. (1 for an example, 1 for a thank you, 2 for raffle prizes.) **Please bring your own supplies that you CAN'T stamp without.: adhesive, scissors, stamp scrub, etc.**We have 5 gracious volunteers to do a make and take for everyone. Thus you will have stamped 11-12 projects at the end of the day. WOOHOO!
Food: The only food item that you are required to bring is a bag lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, please bring what you need. A few have offered to bring a snack, and that is fine, we just don’t want the enormous leftover we had last time. Provided will be:
Breakfasty items (donuts, fruit, coffee cake), Snacky items, Coffee (Decaf and Regular), Water, Cold Drinks, and Dessert.
ATC's: If you are doing this, please make sure that you have contacted kmk_24 (Karen) - she is coordinating this.
I am very excited to get together with everyone!!!
Can I be the first on the list please?
Now... who wants to carpool with me from the Utica/Mohawk Valley area?
Thanks so much for organizing. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Hmmmm....no, you didn't miss it. I guess I didn't put that on the form. Not a worry though. We'll just give out numbers to those who made something, on that day.
[QUOTE=conductorchik]The SCS CNY "I-can't-wait-for-May-Get-together has officially been scheduled!
Very Cool!!!!!!!
Thank you for listing me!!! I will get the form to you soon. The check will have to wait, but I'm good for it, I promise.
About the food, there was way too much waste last time. I'd be willing to contribute to someone else's creation to help defray their cost and participate at the same time.......Also, we didn't have time to eat it (not a bad thing, but a sin to WASTE, and in a church, no less) Who wants my $5?
Hi Kris:
I would love to come. Sign me up and I'll get a check in the mail to you this week. Thanks so much for pulling these details together for us. Let me know if I can be a help in any way.
Sounds good!! Would you be willing to be in "charge" of that???
Sure! If anyone has any questions just drop me a line. You can also search on ATC in the gallery since some people do not put their ATC's in the ATC gallery. See post #19 for the ATC gallery link.

well ladies.....I have my paperwork for demoing. I think I am about to give it shot. Bottom line, if anything - for the discount. If I make a little extra on the side - GREAT.
I *might* do the ATC's......'cause I'm not sure if I will do the cardfronts this time. I will see how things go with my mom and how much time I think I might have.

ATC's are generally not a blind swap where you leave 5 and 5 people pick up yours. It is usually one on one where you look at someone's ATC collection and you say you like 2 and you ask them to look at your collection and if they like 2, you swap. If you prefer to do the blind swap we can do that instead - I like the personal swap myself because of the interaction you have with the other artist. Once I know about how many people are intersted in an ATC swap, I can take a poll.

Hey looky this!! A new thread to chat in!! I love it! And I was so very glad to see I am already on the list. I will get organized this weekend with the paperwork and check and all.
I'm thinking about the swaps... ATC and recipe... I'll let ya'll know, but I am leaning towards trying the recipe swap this time around as my new adventure.
So I could probably do up 3-4-even 5 different ones? How many of each do you suggest? I've never done them, but would love to be able to start them now. Any help you provide would be appreciated!

Karen,
I agree, it was fun to swap with you, person to person. It's alittle easier when you have some with which to swap. I only had one last time. I'm working on more, one so far. I'm hoping you'll want to trade with me. EEK, what if you don't like any of them........here's hoping.......LOL!
Rt click, or cntrl-click and then choose "Save Target As", or "Download linked file" ;;......it depends if you have a Mac or PC. Try that for either the word or pdf version.

Oh goodness, all this tech talk. I will try at home tonight, there are some blocks on our computers at school which cause weird problems sometimes. Thanks though -- believe me, I WILL find it and mail it in!!
