Hello Ladies - some of us local MA/NH/RI gals got to chatting over in the Announcements Forum about CKC this year in Manchester, NH on May 14th-16th 2009.
They've put the classes online and I believe Registration will open in a few days. I wanted to start this thread for us all to discuss if we are going, what classes we are taking, etc. Would LOVE to meet up with some of you!
Here is the website with all the info for CKC this year.

I subscribed so I can keep track.
I'm hoping to get down there sometime Saturday. I'm up near Conway so it's not too bad of a drive. I've gone to the last 2 in Manchester and had a good time both times. I've never done a class though.
If you can make it to the Thursday Night Sketches Crop, GO!!!
This is the first year it has been for 12x12 pages - every other year it was for 6x6. It moves along quickly and when you're finished, you have TEN completed pages waiting for your pictures.
I am going to try to take the Acrylic Album class on Friday morning along with the Basic Grey one. I also am going to try to get into the Paper Crafts Card swap later on at 6 pm.
Hope to see you there!

I am thinking about sketches crop but can you tell me what kind of layouts do you have in the end? Is it decent paper? I style my layouts to my pics and only scrap events not pages that show just an everyday pic. Would this class work for me?
ETA def taking a TT class

I'm registered are you? I just registered for the Thursday night Sketches crop, on Friday I have 1 stamp 10 techniques, a greeting for every reason (TT), paper crafts card swap and the Friday night Crop.

I better look at the schedule. I was disappointed in the first 2 classes I took so last year we just went for the shopping and I was not that impressed either. I had money to spend and only spent $20.

I'll be at theThursday night Album Crop, the Clearly Fabulous Acrylic Album Class, Latest & Greatest with Basic Grey, Boy/Girl Chipboard Wall Hanging, Just 2 Easy Acrylic Album and the Paper Crafts Swap. I have a long lag between 1210 and 430 and am considering the Flocked & Fabulous Class.
I hear you about being disappointed. My friend and I have decided not to take any more card classes - they were all pretty basic last year.

Thats what I am worried about with 1 stamp set 10 techniques class. But I have to wait till march to see the reviews for that class. I just wish they would tell you what techniques you would learn. I love the TT classes so I'm not worried about that one. Card swap is always fun but there is nothing really special about that class. I just wish they would replace some of the project classes with more informative classes. I would have loved a Design studio class to learn the basics of that.

how did you register? I went to the site but it says that Registration is not open...?
I had a VIP registration. They sent it to me a couple of days ago with a special link. I know a designer friend of mine also got the link. Not sure how they decided who got the link.

Kerry, I left a post on the other thread about not being able to hook up with you on Friday. It seems the classes I like on Friday are at the wrong times for either getting my youngest off to school or being home for them.
I did sign up for a couple classes on Saturday since dh will watch the boys. This is what I consider my Mother's Day gift. Kathyc (my sil) and I have gone for the past three years.
I do have to agree with the posters about not being impressed with the shopping last year. I did find some things that I wasn't look for and didn't find the things I was hoping for. did that make sense..
I will be there on Friday and Saturday with friends. I was the Stampin' Up! vendor at the first CKC in Manchester five years ago. I would like to meet up with others since I will have lots of free time.
I picked three classes so I would get a two day vendor pass. I registered for the Paper Crafts card swap and Friday night crop. I also registered for the digital scrapbooking class by SEI which comes with software with a value of $100. I want to learn more with digital scrapbooking.
I have not taken classes for the last two years since I was disappointed with the class quality for the price. I recommend the Good Things Acrylic Album class from Angela Moen from the Button Farm. I go to her Extreme Scrapbooking weekends and love her projects. I made this album at her fall ESE. I wanted to take her class last year but there was a $17 surcharge for registering only for one class. My favorite classes in the past were mini books from SEI and Rusty Pickle. Check the vendor when you decide what classes to register for.
I think the VIP registration was sent to those who registered for classes last year. I have a few customers tell me about this VIP registration when we were deciding what classes to register for. I am on the CKC mailing list but I did not register for a class in the last two years. I did not get a VIP registration.
anyone know what is up with CKC and the cancellation policy? link on their website appears to be broken. I tried to do a modify registration and it said that the original price of my friday night crop was 26 but the refunded price is $2.00? Anyone got a phone number for CKC registration? That doesnt make sense to me. I can see only giving $20.00 back but $2.00? seems a little out of whack
