I'll bring my Hot Milk Cake. It's a vanilla based cake - kind of a cross between a pound cake and an angel food cake. Hope you'll like it. Can't wait to see you all on Sunday.
Post pictures and details as soon as possible. I wish I could have gone, but I think it turned out best that I didn't. I was feeling pretty good at the beginning of the week, but the end of the week wasn't so good. But I can't wait to hear everything that happened. And I'm planning to attend the next one.
Thank you Britta for your great hospitality. The swap was so much fun. It was my first so I didnt know what to expect. We walked away with about 20 new cards, each one seemed to use a technique I havent tried before. Loved it.
Thanks again and thanks also to your patient husband and adorable Cam. Give Sophie a kiss for me.
yes britta, thank you so much for being the hostess with the mostest. i had a great time and loved all the fun cards/pens/notepad and seed holders - so many fun things!!
Thank you so much for opening you home to all of us yesterday. I had a wonderful time stamping and meeting all of you great ladies. Even my husband was impressed with all of the projects!! Can't wait to do it again... I had so much fun.
Thank-You Britta! What a fun day! To meet so many friendly stampers, learn new techniques, and eat such GOOD food!!! WOW! Just the right amount of chocolate to keep us all sweet and focused! The ideas were wonderful and so inspiring! I came home and made 12 mini-legal pad notebook jackets for my stamp-camp swap at convention!
Thanks again for the warm hospitality!

I just PM'ed you Kate, but thought I'd copy & paste the recipe for others.
I love this salsa and consider it a side dish in the summer...it's not just for chips any more!
Here's the "recipe"...loose interpretation, because it lends itself to whatever looks good in the produce section or what's in the fridge at the time.
***All amounts can be adjusted to how much you want to make at the time. Just chop & add-the more colors the better!
Black Bean Salsa
2 or 3 cans Black Beans, rinsed & drained
1/2 Red, green, orange, yellow pepper, (chop any or all-amount is flexible the more varieties you choose)
Fresh corn trimmed off the cob-1 or 2 ears
green onions-chopped
1/2 red onion-chopped
fresh tomatoes-chopped (I use Roma tomatoes-less juice)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Jalapino pepper-chopped (optional)
1 sm. can chopped/diced green chilies
Chopped cilantro (didn't have any it Sunday, but it adds a great flavor)
Dressing: (Mix separately)
1/3 c. oil & 2/3 c. Red Wine Vinegar (or any flavor that's light in color & taste)
1 tsp. Tabasco or hot sauce
1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper
1 T Fresh lemon juice
Mix well until blended.
Combine & mix with salsa let chill well before serving to blend the flavors (overnight is great!).
Enjoy!!!
