If Darlene is bringing potato chips and chip dip (that's my assumption...) I'll bring tortilla chips and salsa and something else munchy.
If anyone is interested in something more on the lines of a veggie tray, fruit plate or something like that - let me know. I'll bring it if I'm not the only one eating it, lol!

Anita, Yes, I'm still bringing chips & dip AND I can bring the tortilla's and salsa also if you want to do a veggie tray.??? I'm bringing a friend and she hasn't decided what to bring so she can do the tortilla/salsa thing even. Let me know.

Okay ladies . . . I'm on weight-watchers but I'm going for a FUN day and I'm eating my chips/dip and maybe a few veggies along the way, LOL. I'll take care of chips/dip - tortillas/salsa . . . oh yeah, and a dish of chocolates, right!! Can't wait to meet you all!

I would love to come if there is still space. I haven't been to a swap in over a year, and I have had a hard time getting my stamping mojo going again.
Also, if there is space my mom would like to come too (if she's available). I will check with her today.

Tammy and all: I hate to have to do this but....I just got an invitation to my niece-to-be's wedding shower and guess what the date is???? YEP, March 8. Doesn't it always work out this way?? :( She is coming up from FL for this shower...her mom lives in Strongsville. The wedding is April 26 in Tampa and Jeff, Sarah and I are flying down on Wed. 3/23 and coming home 3/27!! (he happens to be my "favorite" nephew too, I know, there shouldn't be a fav but he is!!)
Please keep me in mind if another swap is planned. Sorry Julie!

The church address is in post #1 if you need to google or mapquest. You will come into Smithville on State Route 585. If you're coming from the east, the church will be on your left. If you come to the stoplight, you went too far! Coming from the west, the church is on your right, just past the stoplight. Park in the lot between the bank and the church, and park as close to the outer edges as you can as there is also a wedding going on. If you need to, park by the door to unload and then go move your car. We will be entering through the double glass doors on the west side of the building. The entrance is not hard to miss... there's a cross set in the bricks of the building just to the right of the doors and the entrance is flanked by handicapped parking spaces. Enter there, and go down the stairs.
We're starting at 10:00. We'll probably take a few minutes to go around the room and everyone can briefly introduce themselves and their project, and provide any little tips for completing it if necessary. We'll be sitting at 8' tables, so there will probably be 4 to a table.
Don't forget food to share!
We are having a gift exchange, but it is optional. If you'd rather not participate, that's perfectly fine. The limit is $10.
Any questions, please give me a shout!
P.S. My computer at work is not functioning, so I'm not really quick to answer until it's fixed! Call me if you need something urgent!
Ladies, if all reports are correct we're in for another round of winter in Northeast Ohio. My plan is to make a decision by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning as to whether we have the swap or not. But I need to know, is there anyone that has to leave home sooner than that? If so, I'll bump up the time. I would highly recommend checking here before you leave home tomorrow, or call me!

awh, and I was so looking forward to this, I hope the weather holds out.
Ohhhhhhh....... I certainly hope you would reschedule. These are so much fun. It's looking awful here. We already have about 4" and they say it is supposed to keep on coming.
Ladies, we closed the store early and I just got home. My usual 12-15 minute drive took 40 minutes. This isn't supposed to let up, so I'm making the executive decision to POSTPONE this shoebox swap until a later date. Y'all can make me a party pooper sign if you want, but I'm not brave enough to go out in this again after the drive home I just made. Especially that it's State Route 585 which is notoriously hazardous even in perfect, sunny weather.
We'll look at some dates, and see when we can get this rescheduled. Maybe early April? I will check my church calendar on Sunday and see if there are any conflicts, and try to pick a date before the weekend is over.

Tammy I am so glad that you made the decision to reschedule the swap. I had to pick up the boys from school today at 12:30 and mind you the school is only a mile or so from the house. It took me almost a half hour to get there and there were five accidents, and almost no visability. According to our local forcast for Green we are supposed to get hit with up to 12 more inches my noon tomorrow!! DH was starting to get nervous about me going since I would be heading south, since they were supposed to be getting hit harder.
The best thing is, when you decide on another date, we will all have our projects ready LOL, ditto on everyone staying safe and warm
Oh Boy, since it's postponed, maybe I will be able to make it too!!
Tammy, you are NOT a party pooper!! It was a very wise decision to postpone. (And not just b/c I couldn't make it on March 8, either!;) ) Like Julie said, the snow has already been falling and accumulating. Even though the weather forecasters can be notoriously wrong, it looks like they are correct on this one. With so many ladies coming from all over, and some having a long drive, there is no sense in risking life and limb. We will have a great time on the reschedule date!!:cool:
You made the right decision Tammy!!!! It's already bad here in Green and it's still coming down. DH even came home around 1:00 and said they were closing a few roads around us (accidents I'm guessing). Sandy is a rural mail carrier in Uniontown and she just finished her route and said how bad it was out there. We'll do it again when it's a nicer day! Be careful out there ladies!!

I am so sad too, but my mom is hoping that she will be able to make it when we reschedule (if there is room). I picked Abe up from the bus, and it was 25 minutes late. I was thinking about walking down to get him, glad I didn't, I would have been a snowman! Luckily dh was sent home early, so he was able to stay home with Eli while he napped. It is just yucky out!
Now I can put off deciding what to make for food, and maybe I can do something really cool for the gift exchange. I really can't wait to see so many of you and meet the rest.
