Diane - I have you down for a room Friday and Saturday night with Louise and Regina.
Regina sent me some good questions about the rooms. I guess I kind of forgot because I always seem to think everyone has been there-done that.
Anyway - last year remember you needed to bring your own cutlery, coffee pot, tea kettles etc.
This year I am suggesting everyone pack a coffee cup, set of cutlery, plate, bowl etc. whether you are staying there or not. That way if we order pot luck, everyone can join in.
I'm in, if Robin says it's ok!!! Courtesy of my wonderful DH's Aeroplan miles, I have a flight to Calgary the weekend of OO2!! I must admit I wasn't calling him a wonderful DH earlier as I couldn't get him to get on his computer and book a flight for me. It seems I asked like a dozen times!!! No need to feel sorry for him though as he's off to Ottawa to his Mensa Conference the very same weekend but he's going a day or two early and also has an extra day after the weekend due to Aeroplan restrictions so he won't miss me.:lol: Anyway one more little fling before I go swanning off to the UK to meet my newly adopted grandson age almost 3. So glad to see so many familiar names and to be able to catch up with even more of you that didn't make it to EE3.
Denise, you will pop in at least to say hello so I can finally meet up with you, won't you? It would be great if you could get to come to play too. However I know what it's like with DH coming and going and working around things like child minding.
I'll let you know about a shoebox swap if I can get some of my stamps out of the basement! I know where my cardstock is but that's it right now!!
Robin, I may take a swap spot- depends on what I come up with this weekend...
I would like a spot in the townhouse too, Friday night and saturday night. Don't matter whom I'm with. Been talking to Regina- maybe with her and Louise?
If I remember rightly, it's 4 rooms to a house, I'd like to join in with these three ladies if they'll have me, pretty please! Just as long as I have a bed to myself, I don't really mind who I share house with.
Ruth so excited to hear you are coming!!!! AND, staying with us too, even more awesome.
If your stuff is still somewhat packed , let me know what you might need so myself, or one of us here can bring it so that you don't have to dig for it. Or that maybe your suitcase is lighter.

Glad you're coming Ruth. It'll be here before we know it. Small group this year which might be very nice too. We're (Linda, Geri and I) staying in the townhouses too -- so that makes 7 of us that I know of staying there. One more bed in our "house" too. We should have dinner out Friday night -- any takers???

Thanks girls, I'm looking forward to it, a somewhat more intimate setting so you get to visit and get to know people better too! Regina, thanks for the offer of stamps and stuff. I have two sets out but they are both retired and one is my absolute favourite set ever. I'm not planning on bringing a lot, need to concentrate on actually making some cards to use!!
Deb, dinner sounds good even if it's only BPs or similar! I think Gayle is also booking a room and I would imagine Tamara and her friend would too. And Christine and Adelee?! There'll be enough of us around.

Ruth do you need a ride from the airport? I would gladly pick you up. I am planning on heading up Friday night and would love to bunk in with Deb and her gang as the 4th on Friday if they'll have me??
I can being the Expression up again, should I - does anybody want to use it?
Also if anyone needs anything from the store let me know and I can bring it up with me.
I am really really really looking forward to this weekend and seeing everyone so soon again.
I'm in for Potluck or whatever goes for Sat night - also Deb dinner on Friday sounds great, dependant somewhat if Ruth needs a ride and what time she gets in.
I've PM'd Diane already but thanks so much for the offer. I actually get in a little earlier than I wanted (15.15p.m.) but had to take what flight I could get that wasn't at the crack of dawn or late into the evening! Also having to drive into Vancouver rather than come from Abbotsford as it's AC not Westjet! If no-one can pick me up from the airport at around 16.00 I am happy to get a Starbucks and hang around for a couple of hours if necessary. You AB girls are the best, so generous with all your offers of help.
Gayle, we'd love to have you join us in our townhouse. That would make 4 in ours Robin.
I would love to play with the Expression Gayle. I have hardly used mine and really don't know what it can do. I need to come and take some classes. I can bring mine too.

Robin- Do you mind taking my blank spots from Regina that Kyla is sending and i can meet up with you sometime? I'm in no hurry for them. Embarrassing as it is I'm still packed from EE3. I'm having alot of trouble with Canada Post or my delivery lady. I've had 3 stamp orders go missing lately. Including my stampscapes from Peggy. I don't trust the spots to not go missing as well.

So, I've dusted off my stuff from EE and am repacking it!!! Sounds like there is a few of us out there who still haven't unpacked!!! Why is this??? This is sad that we all don't get to work on our stuff more often....hhhmmm...maybe we need to prioritize better for ourselves and tell the family it's take out for dinner tonight?!?!
Stampscapes. Deb I saw your post about playing with your stampscapes and I am very jealous!!! Can anyone advise any stores in Calgary that may sell Stampscapes??
Gayle, I spoke to Carol in Paper Pastimes and she said she was going to put in an order in July. Maybe if you call her and speak to her.... She didn't seem very friendly so I didn't pursue it. I am hoping to sit next to Regina and Louise and smile prettily at them to borrow thiers

Mary at Stamp-A-Doodle is awesome. She orders us whatever we want.
Mounted and unmounted.
She has quite a good selection of mounted ones and has also just put in another order.
The unmounted ones she doesn't carry in stock but would order in for you.
If you want to go to Stampscapes on-line and chose some. I can check if Mary has them in stock and pick them up for you. You could call her your visa number.
I don't mind going there at all.

Ladies,
Thanks for looking after each other while I have been caring for our company. Rick and i finally have a day to ourselves, but we are spending it packing the trailer so they can go camping. I will be staying here and looking after Rick's mom.
anyway, enough about me......
Ok - so I am just going to send a note to the College to set up our rooms. I see those planning on both Friday and Saturday night have found each other. As well, Christine, Adelee and I are staying Saturday night. Plus I will be down on Friday night for supper.
So I will put Ruth, Louise, Regina and Diane in one townhouse......Deb, Linda, Geri & Gayle in another townhouse........Adelee, Christine & I in the third for Saturday night only.

hey, a girl's gotta eat -- I'm in for Friday, and I'm sure my two travelling buddies are in too. Make it 3. Then if they don't want to go, I'll just have to eat for 3 -- hey, don't laugh -- I did do that for 9 months once.
Stampscapes -- heck yah, I NEED more. I'll check their site and will phone Stamp-a-Doodle and see if she has them. Are you going there on the Friday before OO, Regina? I'll let you know if I order any or not.

Wish we could join you guys Friday night for dinner. But we've got to wait for the hubby's to get home from work before we even head out on Friday night. We'll be staying in Crossfield, and driving out both days.

Right now I have just 4 stamps sets I can find but that is more than enough to use for the weekend. My main request for help would be for punches. Any SU ones and maybe the odd Marvy one like the two sizes of Oval Scallop Punch. Or if someone has Nesties(Oval Scallop)they are nowhere near as heavy and a cuttlebug/Big Shot with a tan mat, that would be marvellous. Swings and roundabouts there! Punches are heavy but then either machine to use the Nesties is even heavier and more bulky!!! I have my inks and all the cardstock/DP I need so that's not a problem. I'm aiming to travel much lighter than EE3 as when I went back, my bag was just by 1.6lbs overweight but the nice guy at the Westjet desk didn't charge me! He told me to pack two bags next time!! :lol:
Thanks Adelee, for your kind offer too. Like I say, you AB girls are second to none when it comes to generosity and hospitality.
Better go and make it look as though I'm busy. I might even sort out my stuff for coming today! TTYL
Adelee, yes, I am still getting settled. I am finally getting a couch today. And yet to unpack the craft room. Unpack from EE3? Not even close.. Maybe now I don't have to

Hope everyone is having a good day. It's decidedly wet here today, that misty drzzly stuff that soaks right thru but it's still quite warm. I actually feel better today and surprisingly my joints are nowhere near as sore. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around, when the damp weather is about, your joints ached but when it was dry, they didn't!!
Anyway I am making some progress here, have started the gargantuan task of sorting my scrap into colours and families!! I'm halfway trhu one box and there are probably 3 more to go. Am going to need some more of these file folders form the $$ store which are ideal fo my scraps. These scraps I am bringing to use, I must use them and not cut anymore cardstock unless it's for the actual card base itself!!
Little Morgan was 3 today and strangely enough it would have been my father-in-laws birthday! DD didn't realise that, she'd forgotten the date of her grandpa's b/day but it's over 20 years since he died so it's not surprising. He would have been 90 today if he were still around. Anyway Morgan had a day out at the zoo with his Mummy and Daddy.
Time to go sort some more scraps!! It's actually quite therapeutic and satisfying, believe it not!! :lol:

Ruth I have a ton of the nesties and I will bring them all and my cuttlebug and if I bring the Expression you can cut to your heart's content. I will remember the tan mat as well and I have a bunch of SU punches so I will tuck those into a pocket somewhere.
Thanks for the Stampscapes offer I will contact Mary at Stamp a Doodle and see if I have any luck. Very kind the offer to pick them up but I don't want you to go just for me tho ~
I went to the Stampede yesterday and walked and ate and gawked and walked and ate and gawked some more...zowee the people alone down there are entertainment enuf! Anyways I found this booth in the vendors building this lady Lisa that makes stamps out of Vancouver and sells them at shows and her work is quite impressive and her stamps have just a different edge. She does some neat stuff with copper paper where it's burned to show the different colors and the stamp is then etched into the copper. I have a coffee pot for our women house and might have a second one for the other woman house.
Are we potlucking on Saturday night or....I'm good either way
