Thanks so much for being an awesome hostess. I had a blast meeting up with new (to me) stampers, and really enjoyed the cards we made. I do believe it was my bunny left, sorry about that!
To the entire group- thanks so much for a fun day. You all are inspiring :-).
It was my pleasure. The next one is probably going to be the last weekend in June. I'll be posting the details in a few weeks. We got sign-ups to host one in June, August, October and December! So there will be lots more fun opportunities.
Karen I started that other group with the current leader a year ago and she basically took my contact list and pushed me out of the group for no apparent reason. So I don't think it's fair to post those swap announcements in my forum. I've started all over again to re-establish another group with some of the same people and many more. As you can see I kept the original name (SASS) that I created because it was my planning and organizing that got things started. My original post on SCS looking for swappers in Sacramento was prior to the first March gathering. So I would appreciate anyone refraining from posting those announcements in the SASS thread and posting in the appropriate one for that swap. Thanks for your understanding.
Hi Deb - was checking out the local swaps and saw this thread. As someone who has attended both, I think it is unfair to slam on another demonstrator in a public forum and use her name. She is not here to defend herself and if there is an issue, the two of you should be working this out in private. I am very uncomfortable with it being handled this way. There is no reason ladies in the local area cannot attend both events since they are not on the same days and sometimes not even in the same months. SU! promotes friendship and fellowship - as demos, we need to follow that pattern.
I'm not stopping anyone from attending any other event but this is not the forum to advertise them in. I did not "Slam anyone" and I was not derogotory or nasty with my post. I was only stating true facts. I did not use any full names so I don't see anything inappropriate on my part. I am not the person who brought the subject up in the first place but I do have the right to respond to comments placed in this thread since it is my swap and my responsibility to keep it within that scope.
I have been contacted by people I know that were on my contact list that were approached by the other group. They didn't understand why they were being contacted by more then one group and how the other group got their personal email. They have a right to know what happened.
Sorry if you don't agree but I also don't think this is the place for you to air your grevances with me publicly. You have already shared your feelings privately via email so the purpose of your message is to Slam me in front of everyone else?
I apologize to everyone who has to read through this and I will not respond to any future public attacks now that I have explained myself. Private mail would be more appropriate for this discussion.
BTW Alex, You have never attended one of my shoebox swaps. You declined the only invite I sent you and asked to removed from this group since you were a regular participant in the other.
I will use email to announce the next swap. If you are not on my mailing list but would like to receive the notifications please PM me your email address.
Deb,
Thank you for a wonderful day. Great group, wonderful cards, food and fun. Hope that I am able to make it to another of your swaps in the future.
Kathy
Thanks Kathy. I had a wonderful time too and just ordered Chic Boutique, DSP and silver beads after seeing your card. It really inspired me along with all the others. I hope to see you and Karan at our upcoming swaps. I know it's a long drive but we loved having you both.
