We've decided to take the plunge and have a shoebox swap and lunch at Faith Fellowship Church in Perry Hall, MD on Saturday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend will need to bring a shoebox swap and something to share for lunch. Once we get some RSVP's, I'll compile a list of food everyone is bringing, so we don't have duplicates.
All cards are to be full cards. Each person will need to bring enough supplies for everyone to make their cards including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Each person is also asked to bring their own adhesive to use on all the projects we make. You will take your adhesive with you when you go from shoebox to shoebox. Please make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labelled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought.
There will be no charge for this swap. Hoping to have hourly door prizes. Post here to RSVP or PM me with any further questions. As of now, we have room for 30 people.
Church is located on Ebenezer Road just off Belair Road. Easy access from 695.
Edited 01/23/06:
We now have the church hall until 4:00 if we need it - really depends on how many people attend and how difficult your cards are. We'd like each person to have typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card or project. This will speed up the process and also not have someone bugging you while you are working on something else. Your swap can be either a card (which is preferred) or if you want to go a different route, you can do some sort of project - a bag, a pin, etc. I just think a project would be more expensive for you to put together for so many people.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
We have a card ministry at church and have a box of stamped cards in the lobby for anyone to take a card when they need one or to just send a pick me up to another church member. We are asking each of you attending to bring an additional one of your cards already made up to donate to our ministry. For those who do, your name will go into a special drawing for a prize. Please help us help out our church. Since we are getting the church hall for free, we thought this might be a nice way to say thank you to the church.
Sounds like great fun and close to me too (Yea!). Food, stamping and door prizes, count me in. Please post the final count for the swap as the date get closer.
You already know I'm coming because I'm helping you plan! I can't wait to meet other SplitCoasters!!!!!! and of course STAMP, STAMP, STAMP!!!!! WooHoo!
Count me in, too! I love shoebox swaps! Thank you so much for organizing this. I look forward to meeting you, and all the other Splitcoaststampers in the area who can make it on March 11.
I would like to sign myself (Andrea) and my friend (Diane) up for the swap. Let me know if Diane needs to sign in herself. At the moment she does not have access and wants to get her name in.
I will be there. I sent the info to my friends. Hopefully some will be able to join us. They are supposed to let you know. Look foward to seeing you. Pam
Anyone else wish to join us? It's going to be a great day of stamping. Have a door prize for each hour. And with so many gals attending, we'll have quite a spread for lunch too. And of course, there will be CHOCOLATE!!! Can't stamp without that. PM me with any questions. Hope to see ya there!
We have 15 people so far signed up for this swap. With this number, you can at least start getting your supplies cut for that many. We are hoping to get more to sign up. The more the merrier and more fun it will be!!

Hi! I would love to participate in this shoebox swap, as well. Please count me in if there is still room. Thanks. One question. Are the projects we each bring supposed to have anything in common -- i.e. themes or level of difficulty or technique? See you on March 11th. Beth Anderson
No, there is no certain theme for this shoebox swap. Really anything goes. Difficulty level is up to you - if you have something new to share but it's a little harder than normal, go for it!! We have from 10:00 until 4:00 to work on cards. Glad you are joining us!!
We are now up to 21 people attending. I am so excited. We have room for 9 more people if there are any others interested. Start thinking about what you'd like to bring to share for lunch. I'll be working on that list at some point next month.
Nope!! Just trying to get some girls in my area together. Nothing can replace my DE buddies!! Mom and I will still come down there if you or Tracy continue having the get togethers. You all could do a road trip up here - hint hint!!! See ya in a few weeks at Val's!
