A lady at FFC is a Club Scrap consultant and has donated some door prizes for Saturday. One of the things looks really neat - something home decor related.
Well, I'm still at about 75% ready for Saturday, but the science fair backboard is nearly done. I think we'll finish it tomorrow night (Wed.)!!! Oww. I have two hot glue burns and my left thumbnail hurts where the corner of the sticky strip poked under my nail.
How many 2lt. sodas would you like for me to bring? I still don't have my card done. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and can get it done.
Four if you don't mind - maybe one regular and three diet. I have a regular pepsi at home that I'll bring that we got free with Chinese last weekend. Hope you feel better too!

Layer your clothes on Saturday - you can always take off, but can't put on if you don't have something. I know last time, some people were cold, some fine, and some warm. Everyone is different, so please dress accordingly.
I am here too. I just finished packing my swap and now i am off to cook the beef and cut the tomatoes for the taco salad.
See everyone in the morning.

Everything's set up at church. We are back in the old area where swaps used to be held instead of the new area like last time. That area was a mess. Just enter thru the front doors and head straight back to the KidzQuest area. See ya soon!
Thanks to everyone for another great swap. The cards all look great. Kathy- I was wondering if you would either post your deviled egg recipe, or send it to me in a private message, they were really good. Lynn
Cindy...another great swap with DEDICATED stampers. Who needs stinkin' lights...we have phones, emergency lights and we can improvise. I don't think one person stopped stamping when the lights went off, we just did what we had to do and I'll bet every single person there knows exactly what card they were working on at the time. Can't wait for the next one. (and if I gain weight, it's because your mother is a good cook!)

Yep! It was an adventure and I love everyone's flexibility. I was stamping the pretty card with the stencilled clouds and I markered the tree and leaves by emergency light and they came out just fine, lol. Thanks again Cindy and everybody!
Thanks everybody for a great swap. It's definitely the first time I stamped by the glow of emergency lamps! Fun! We will never forget! And the food was wonderful!
If anybody finds a bottle of Grape Stickles with my name (LisaC) on it, please let me know. It is missing from my box.
Cindy, Thanks so much for organizing! Everything was wonderful! Sign me up for the next one!

Lisa..I LOVED your card. It was definately one of my favorites!!!! Hope you find your stickles.
Cindy, thanks for all your hard work putting together the swap. I really enjoyed myself. I'm sorry the original person who signed up couldn't make it, but sure glad I was able to go. You will have to thank your husband for all his help too. He was really a sweetie for helping us to be able to keep stamping.
I always look forward to your swaps.

Thanks to the ladies at my table for all their help too.
Cindy, as always, another smash-up job. No matter the strife, you persevered and the ladies stamped and laughed and it really seemd to bring people together more on a personal level. Several quick notes: Thank you so much for asking if folks needed help towards the end. I always find that wonderful, being one of the slower stampers. Thank you so much for the reminder to folks not to leave without checking if the cards are done. That is vital to a good swap, that everyone gets the opportunity to do all the cards. It really made a diference to me. Sara, Lisa and I all had a wonderful time and we actually got to chat with some folks and meet some people and it was wonderful. I learned some new ideas and I WANT the checking recipe. Who did that? It was tender and tasty! Way too much food, made me stuffed, or maybe I made me stuffed? Nah, just the food!

Cindy,
Thanks for putting together another great swap yesterday. Brooke and I had a great time. She was amazed at all the great cards, as was I and all the great food too. :-D
Can't wait for the next one.

Just chiming in to echo everyone's sentiments on what a terrific swap it was yesterday. I'm still looking through my bag of cards with amazement. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you next month in Reisterstown, and at Cindy's next swap in the summer! Cathy
Did anyone happen to find a clear imaging sheet (used with the stamp - a ma- jig) in their box? It was used with the card that had the 5 flower pots to line up.
Thanks.

I just had to brag a bit about my daughter's science fair project, shown above. She won first place in the Engineering (Materials and Bioengineering) Division for seniors and took several special awards - an Honorable Mention from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), second place from the Washington Statistical Society for excellence in investigation or use of statistical methods in a science fair project, a certificate and gift card from ASM International, Materials DC Chapter (American Society for Metals), first place with a certificate and $500 award from the National Space Club, and the Howard B. Owens Science Center award for the best visual presentation in the senior division. All this and Stampin' Up products too!
We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.....
Thanks ladies for a great day. I think we had more fun with the power outage happening than we would have had with the lights on all day. It's definitely going down as the most memorable SCS to date.
Thanks to those who helped clean up at the end of the day. I really appreciate it.
Yummy food, great cards, and lots of fun - what more can you ask for.
Thanks also to those who donated door prizes - that's a big help.
And the cards collected for the card ministry are great. I went thru them today to separate them into categories. They will keep the rack filled for quite a while.

No one turned in grape stickles to me, so ladies, please check your boxes and see if it got left in yours.
I do have mini glue dots and a sponge that were left if anyone is missing them and wants me to send them to you. Just let me know.
Thanks, Cindy, for a great time (and an adventure!) Saturday. I checked my box last night, and I don't have grape stickles. I also don't have my stardust stickles. Looking forward to the next one! Lisa
Thanks CIndy for another great swap. I think this was the best one so far and the most awesome cards. All the stampers really outdid themselves. I just couldn't believe how nothing stops a stamper, not even an power outage. Thanks to the few ladies who started my box #25 and had to wait for the chick stamps. I always leave something home, but I have a wonderful husband who went home and got them in his big truck and delivered them to me. What a wonderful day we all had, so much food. Thanks again
