Hey girls! Home and all sunburned...but had a great time for sure! Course, I had to log in and see what has been going on this past week.
Thanks everyone on the chatter about quality, etc. I can only speak from experience about my other swap events, and for the most part I was very pleased.
Like Beth said...we are all at different stages of stamping...have different likes, etc...so it is possible that we all won't like EVERY card. My hope is that each of us will put as much effort into the design so that we give the type of card quality-wise that we would want to receive. I think if everyone proceeds on that basis...we all will be amazed!
Anyway..off to bed now....I will go tomorrow morning to the Post Office to pick up what I hope is a big ole' pile of registrations! I will update the list as soon as I can!
Check it tomorrow afternoon....nighty-nite

Oh, I really want to go! Thank you for the invitation. I was so hopeful until I started reading more information! LOL  I am not a Stampin' Up! rep, and the one person who lives near me that is, hasn't ever gotten back with me about classes or anything since July. I only own one set of Stampin' Up! stamps and those won't work for cards because they are business stamps. Ugh! :( I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for me to learn stamping and make new friends who like to stamp, too. I just feel like, even if I placed an order to buy the materials, I don't have the skill level needed to produce a high-quality card. If any of you will be having any stamp camps or classes in or around Bedford, (if not too far away), I'd love to come and learn more! Thanks, for thinking of me, and I wish you LOTS of success with this event! It sounds AWESOME!
Hugs,
Bridgett (in Bedford)

Bridgett,
I don't know where Bedford is, but I would bet that there would be some more active demos in your area. In the mean time, just hang out on SCS and you can learn a lot. Check out the resources section.
Just so you know, you don't have to be a SU person to participate in this gathering. I'm a demo for TAC and I'm going. Maybe some of the other ladies here will have an idea of how you could attend.
Thanks, Lisa!
A wonderful stamper named Dawna is going to help me out! THANKS DAWNA!!! And that is really good to know that I don't have to be a SU person to attend. I do love the SU catalog and products, just haven't really wanted to invest in more stamps and products when I don't even know how to use what I got! LOL
Bedford is just south of Bloomington. I know the SU! demonstrator has a full plate right now, and I am willing to wait as long as I know she didn't forget about me! LOL But I am definitely open to attending any classes or events in my area for sure.
Thanks, again.

Have a great weekend, ya'll. Oh, Hoosiers...the Ren Faire is the weekend at Conner Praire. I think we are going to take the boys. We went last year and it was fun. If anyone is close to Indy/Fishers...it's worth going to if you are interested.
We have room for you! Check post #2 of this thread for the list of registrations received so far....as you can see....we have lots still open! Spread the word!
Hope you can make it!

Oh, that's awesome. When I read your post a few posts back, Dawna came to my mind. She's a sweetie..you are gonna love her!!! She's very talented too!!! Can't wait to meet you at the event if it works for you to attend!
Awww.... shucky, darn, Beth, ya got me blushing! Thanks for the plug! I am looking forward to meeting Bridgett. Can't hardly wait for the gathering!

Oh Kathy............Hold on...........I'm spreading the word as fast as I can. Found a woman in Indy that I had corresponded with in Aug. & she knew nothing about it. Hoping she goes & spreads the word.
I have offered to MAKE the packets for my friend if she will go. LOL Ok, so I'm desperate.
NOW...............who was the person who said central Indiana.........EXCUUUUUUUUUUSE me? I am in north central Indiana & two of us are going. I've spread the word to Ohio. You don't REALLY have to be in central Indiana.........right? I play with ALL stampers. LOL
Welcome back Kathy! Glad you had fun. My demonstrator is in Iowa & I asked that she let HER people know, here in Indiana. I know one is on the list.
I don't think you should worry so much about the quality because, like myself, some are former SU demonstrators and if you're on SCS you've probably done some casing too. I happen to be using all SU products. Now, that said, some may be older stuff. Actually I think it's all up to date. Except the 2 black brads.
I am soooooooooooo hoping we can get more to come. I can't believe that you are NOT telling EVERY stamper that you know. I have sent out 2 emails to people that stamp..................I don't care what company they are with, although I prefer SU and I even offered to make my girlfriends cards FOR her if she'd go. Well, she is going & I don't have to make her cards. LOL
TELL THE WORLD! Send messages to stampers in IN, KY, OH............getting together is the whole thing. Think about it.............a WHOLE day of making cards. What's NOT to like? I'm in a pen pal list and no not all cards are top quality but some are just beginners. If you are showing ONLY cards with tons of layers & lots of hard techniques to your new customers, then you may be scaring some of them off. If you know they are ALL seasoned stampers........then go for it. Otherwise you may scare them enough that they won't feel worthy. You need to think about that when you are doing a workshop or party.
Ooops, sorry, slipped off my soap box. Come on ladies..............help Kathy make this a terrific day for Indiana stampers. Relax, enjoy yourself.
Please let those who have inquired about the deadline.....that I have extended it to the 17th. I would like them to email me so I hold a spot for them.
Lots of email activity these past two days, so I know you are all beating the bushes! I appreciate your help so much!

Thanks Kathy. I appreciate you extending it. I have gotten 2 more to sign up. Ok, NOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW how about the rest of you. If we each come up with 3 more people we can fill this day & make it exciting & fun. Who can't spend a whole day TALKING about stamping.
I'm with you papercraftingmomma. My first year too.
If any of you have been a SU demonstrator for about 10 years you may remember the SU get together that I put together in Lafayette at the library? It was the same weekend that an awesome stamp store opened in West Lafayette. She has now closed to raise her 2 small children. :( I think all the get togethers are fun.
I wish I could attend but I have a stamping party (workshop) which is scheduled for the same day. I did attend the event last year and it was so much fun, so if anyone is "sitting on the fence" about attending, you must decide to go -- you won't regret it. It will be a great day of stamping and girl time. I just wish it could have been held at a slower time in my business. This time of year is crazy for me and I just don't seem to have enough days in a week -- especially on the weekends. This is great for my Stampin' Up! business but bad for my own 'play time.' For those of you who are attending, have fun -- I'll be thinking about you.
