Konichiwa Ladies!
I'm not sure what everyone's plans are for April but I'd like to host the next get together. If anyone wants to bring extra chairs or tables to work on that would be great! I was thinking April 20th around 1800 (600 pm ) at my place. I'm thinking of doing tacos/burritos. Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert. I've got tons of papers and supplies. Hopefully this will work for everyone.
Masculine theme: fathers day, birthday, anniversary, baby boy etc...! I think that's a great idea as I hardly ever have a masculine card handy when I need one. No vendor required so feel free to use whatever you want!
Camp McT building 5029C
for those living at Kadena, Lester & Foster
Head north on 329 until route 8 make a left
Follow the road The base will be on the right hand side.
Once in the gate take your second right (there will be a red sign that says McTureous Chapel--->) Follow the road up the hill. My house is at the end of the road. You'll see a maroon van. You can park along the road that leads up to the chapel or in the visitors parking along the right. There's no one who lives in B so you can also park there as well.

Thanks, Alicia for getting the next one going! I think I can make it too. I forwarded this to Michelle also. She is Shelby1of5 on here.
I like the theme, and the dinner sounds yummy! I do have 2 card tables and 4 folding chairs. I will plan on bringing them!
I'm going to try my hardest to make it!! I get back from the states the 18th really late so I may still be trying to get rid of my jet-lag! I also have to beg Brian (he has to spend two weeks here with the kiddies by himself ;-)...
We'll see, but for now I'm going to say, count me in!

hey ladies! the date is just tentative I can push it to the 27th if necessary. Just let me know! I figure we've got a month to work out all the kinks.
The 20th is perfect for me - DH is off that night - woo hoo!! So, count me in Alicia. I also have some folding chairs and a six foot table if you need it. Just give me a heads up and I'll bring what you need.
Hello ladies, Lisa 'linked" me to this thread. I'm actually stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, but my dh is fapped down there for a few months while he's attached to the 31st MEU. He's supposed to be back from Korea sometime the middle of April, and the kids and I were planning on coming down to see him. If it's around this time, I would love to come and meet you all.
I've never been to any kind of SU event as I've never met my upline, and until recently, I was the only demo here. I've heard that there are a few more here now, and I would like to get together with them once in a while for learning and inspiration. What do you do at your get-togethers? Is it just a "bring your own supplies and make what you want", or does someone do the planning?

Ooh! I can answer. Everyone designs and creates a card that she thinks others might also enjoy creating. Then each person brings the supplies needed for her card to be made: cut paper, ink, stamps, ribbon, brads, stamp cleaner, etc. Each participant would need to bring her own adhesive and scissors. If your card requires setting eyelets or brads, then you would need to bring the tools for that
I would love to join this swap. Thanks for passing me the link Jeanne. I'm new to Okinawa and want to get started. Just let me know the final details and I'll work it out.

The Theme is Masculine Cards and you can find the date and time with directions at the very top of this thread!
Can't wait to meet you!

I've never done one of these before...I know we design our cards and bring all the bits needed for everyone to make it.
My question:
I am a SU demo...but I know not everyone else is. So, what are the guidelines? Do the products all have to be SU? Do they have to be current or can they be retired?
Guess that's it...lol...planning...planning.

I hate to have to but....I have to miss this one.
I will be getting back from the states just a few days prior and bless my dh's big heart...he will be back here playing soccer/school mom while I am gone. I think we are just going to make that weekend a family weekend! (I'm sure I'll need at least a weekend to get my kids back to normal...lol)
Have lots of fun and make sure someone PM's me about the next one! I WILL be there!!

OK - I'll bring my big table and I have 2 folding chairs and think I can borrow 4 more. That will give you plenty if our count stays at 9.
See you all on Friday!!
