Hi Roberta! Wow, we are neighbors! I was going to ask if you were any relation to Thome Farms and then I looked at your profile & saw that you are! (I love your new greenhouse on rte. 58 - I bought flower baskets for our moms on mother's day)

Ok, I just found this thread.....I am an Ohioan. Born and raised here....did a 3+ year stint in Minnesota, now back for 4+ years. I am in Ravenna, Ohio. My upline will be dropping, and I am looking for someone to learn from. I have been a demo for 4+ years, but have a very, very small customer base. I am a SAHM of three, soon to be four, kids. So, my time is limited, therefore so is my business. I stamp with my MIL a lot, and we have great times. But, it would be fun to meet up with others that enjoy stamping and maybe I could learn a thing or two. I have been to Archiver's in Fairlawn several times....that is a get-away night for mom and grandma! We have a lot of fun. Anyway, just thought I would add.... Also thought I should add that I have been to Hollo's...I love their envelopes and stock up on the white and ivory. I don't go for their paper so much cuz it is never the same color the next time you go in....even the white. However, when I first started stamping, that was THE place to go! I like taking trips there to get the envelopes and just to check things out!!! Need to go there soon, running low on envelopes!

I'm the short brunette who always looks frazzled in May(busy time!) PM me if you ever want to get together & stamp - I have a monthly stampers club. Roberta
Kathy, I'm in West Chester, just down the road from your new digs. I'm always looking for someone to stamp with. Give a holler when you'd like to stamp the afternoon away!

I'm sorry, Connie! I really wish you could have come. It took us a long, long time to secure the dates because October is so full for everyone. I'll make sure to keep you on our list for next time.
Okay, now back to your regularly intended thread...

Just moved to Dayton Ohio from Okinawa Japan! Still don't have household goods but the military loan locker is enough for now. Can't wait to get my stamps and settle in!
Welcome to Ohio! Not quite as exotic as Okinawa - but we do alright! I don't know much about these things - but I assume you're at Wright Patterson? Hope you settle in well (and get rid of the severe morning sickness... yuck-o!) Several gals here from the Dayton area I do believe!

It's in the Cleveland area, a town called Brunswick.
I think you would take 77-N to 480-W, then to 71-S to the Brunswick exit. I imagine it would 4 +/- hours. Its SO worth it, though! While in the area, also go to a big craft store called Pat Catans. Its a chain all along the Lake Erie/Cleveland area. Has alot to offer and cheaper than HobLob and Mikes
Hope this helps. Happy crafting,
Valerie

anyone know how far away from Parkersburg, WV Hollos is?
Oh, I l-o-v-e Hollos...I'm pretty lucky in that I'm about a 15 minute drive from there! I'm taking orders for the gals who are going to the retreat in Cincinnati...hoping my Tahoe will hold it all!!
My neighbor and I are doing a stamp camp on Oct 6th at 1 pm. We live in Grove City, just south of Columbus. If you are interested, please pm me. We will be doing 10 holiday cards. It should be a blast! We would love to meet more stampers in the area!
Hello from Enon, Ohio
I moved here about 4 years ago from Los Angeles. Don't know all the smaller cities names and locations but I am about 20 minutes from Dayton. Would love to join in on any meet and stamp groups or perhaps put together one of the shoe box gatherings??
Happy Stamping
Julie
Hollo's is the bomb!!!!! I work in Strongsville and my demo used to live in Brunswick so I frequented the place quite a lot. I am a transplant from Michigan - moved to Ohio for love! I am in Eaton Twp, between North Ridgeville and Elyria which is about 25 min west of Cleveland. We have several Michael's nearby, a Hobby Lobby in Medina and an Archiver's in North Olmsted. Pat Catan's is cool too - many, many $1 stamps and good deals on tins and boxes. I am lucky because I have a VIP vendor's card thanks to my MIL's business. 40% off white ticket items and no sales tax - can't beat that. Give me a shout if anyone wants to get together and talk stamping!
Welcome to Ohio - I am in Fairfield which is like 20 minutes from you - I'm over your way often - did you know you have a GREAT stamping store near you????? Stamp your Art Out - oh oh and then there is Archivers scrapbook wonderland LOL LOL
Kathy,
I'm in Miamisburg, about 25 miles north of you. Have you had any luck finding anyone nearby?
Heather
Heather, I'm in West Alexandria. You may be the nearest stamper to me that I have met so far on here. Ever want to play stamps give me a yell.

YEAH...
I'm up for most any location providing my schedule allows.:-D
I am from North Ridgeville, OH, which is in Lorain County, west of Cleveland. I grew up in North Royalton, lived in Parma, Westlake, and now North Ridgeville. If anyone is looking for a demo in this area, I would love to get together with you. I am willing to travel to Medina, Brunswick, Hinckley, Strongsville, North Royalton, Parma, Broadview Hts., Berea.
Are any other SCS'ers planning on going to this event? It will be held April 10-13, 2008 in Sandusky, Ohio. I know that seems like a long time off, but the classes have been announced on the European Papers web site www.europeanpapers.com and the good ones fill up fast. If there is enough interest, maybe we can plan a get together there.
NOTE: I have attended Artiscape in years past, but not otherwise affiliated with it.
