I would love to plan something or attend something!:-D I make alot more cards than I scrapbook but I've set a goal to complete my wedding scrapbook for our 5 year wedding anniversary (it's 8/27/09) and I haven't started! LOL! I little overwhelmed to say the least! I have never done a shoebox swap but from what I understand it sounds like alot of fun so I'd be up for it! I'm pretty much game for anything!:-D
Do you make cards, scrapbook? Have there been gathering in Minnesota before that you;re aware of? I read about the shoebox swap up by Brainerd but that's all I found! Anyway, great to connect with some "locals!"

I am in Bloomington and would be interested in some sort of gathering if the timing is right. I just started a new job (after almost a year of unemployment) so I don't have the time I used to. I scrap as well as make cards, so would be i nterested in anything that involves getting glue all over.

Hi! I'd love to organize something centrally located so we could all get together and meet! Someone brought the idea of a shoebox swap, are you familiar with these and if so would you want to participate in one?

Alright ladies...here's a description for you, nothing fancy or anything but ALOT of fun!
Shoebox Swap: it is a swap that you attend where you bring a completed card sample and all of the precut cardstock, stamps, ink pads and other accessories needed so everyone in attendance can make a sample of your card. This can also be done without bringing the inks and stamps (you would stamp the images out before hand for everyone) and then everyone would just assemble all of the pieces of the card! I think the second option is the one most people opt for when doing a shoebox swap but that would be up to us to decide!!! =)

Lisa, my mom lived in St. francis, small world. I am in southern MN, i cant travel too much so if it was closer this way I would love to join up and scrap.

I love that there are so many replies! I'd definetly be up for organizing something unless someone else wants to volunteer?!? Anyone want to throw out suggestions on places and dates? If we want to stick to something that's free we could do something during the day on a Saturday or Sunday at a Archiver's. I'm open for suggestions and I can do the legwork! :-D
