Glad you are coming back to this neck of the woods. Was talking to a friend yesterday that we should have one in the Charleston area too. I just got back from convention and couldn't make it to the one in Columbia. Have a great time everyone.
Gail you are in Hanahan? I am moving to Summerville. The Sangaree subdivision....that is relatively near Hanahan! PM me your address and I will see how far we will actually live from one another. I need some stampin buddies to come home to!
I am thrilled you are moving back to the area! I have been looking for Charleston area stampers to stamp with for ages. I live on James Island, but Summerville is not too far away. Let me know when you get back here and settled in...
Oh fun Cindy!! James Island is none to far for me!!! I will be there Aug 18th and should be settled within a few weeks...being an Air Force wife, I settle in quick! LOL But now we are Reserve and I am not moving again for a long while! Ahhhhhh
ALways good to have more stampers in the area. Welcome back to Charleston. I'm over in Mt. Pleasant, so I thinnk we've got most corners of the area covered ;)
Quick question about the directions from the direction-challeneged.... If I am coming up 1-26 from Charleston and picking up I-20, which set of directions applies (Points East or Points West)?
I think it is Points East of Columbia, Sally. At least that is what I'm going to do and I'm coming from the St. Andrews exit near the I-20 interchange.
HTH

OK girls. I'm already jealous. On Sunday, I want a full report of how it went and how much fun you have! I'm so sorry we couldn't come, but my husband also had to DJ an even until 1 am last night in addition to his job and is really exhausted and burned out, so I wouldn't want him to have a wreck trying to drive me to Columbia. Good luck all, and have fun!

Ahhh this is so fun! We must plan a Charleston get together!!! The house we just bought has a 20 x 16 finished room over the garage....do you think we would all fit there?????
Only if I can come!! My sister lives in Columbia, and we LOVE Charleston. We could all bring sleeping bags and have a pajama party. Too fun!! They go over to Wild Dunes a lot. We were in Charleston for a wedding in February and stayed at the Charleston Place since they got a good rate. It was so nice. I LOVE Blossoms, Magnolia's, Hyman's Seafood, Slightly North of Broad....I could EAT my way through Charleston!! I could be your adopted Yankee cousin (from NORTH Carolina)--but remember, my daughter graduated from USC last year!! Have fun, girls.

Nice to "meet" you I do hope we get something together in this area. My closest stamping friend lives in Hilton Head, and it's just too far to go there as often as I'd like. I've been trying to meet other local stampers for ages. I know they must be around here somewhere! I wish you were coming to Columbia this weekend.
There has been a last minute change and I will be coming with Sally from Mt Pleasant. I guess I'll be real busy tonight getting everything ready for tomorrow. The cookies are in the oven as we speak.
Yeah! I'm so excited. My mom "biglucy" lives in Charleston and comes here to Columbia to stamp with me but she would love to meet some other Charleston stampers as well! We will need a roll call tomorrow,uh? :-)

Make sure to read the directions posted in #167! (Directions on Mapquest will not have specific information about finding the building we are meeting in!) Theresa, should we add a link to that post on the first page? I don't want anyone to be wandering around trying to find us!
And I love Charleston too! I'm looking forward to that already!
Count me in for next year--I'm up for Charleston any time and will FLY if I have to!

I live in SC and just found out about these gatherings. I'd love to come to the next one. i live in Myrtle Beach so Charleston would be doable. I'll be sure to start checking here for info on another gathering.
The Carolina Girls shoebox swap was great! It was so much fun to meet everyone in person. Thanks so much to everyone involved in the planning! The location, food, and swaps were excellent. We should set up a gallery for pix of the swaps and the group photo. I am looking forward to doing it again in Charleston!
The Carolina Girls swap was out of this world. I enjoyed meeting everyone so much, and stamping all the great cards. We must plan something eles real soon. Saturday the vote was to do something in Charleston, and on here as well. My attitude is have stamps will travel, so lets get going on planning something soon. Amy
I'm so jealous. What about Charleston in February?? Like I can talk--I don't even live there! But definitely something before it gets too hot. I hope you guys had good air conditioning Saturday. I'm so jealous and sorry I didn't get to come. Do any of you happen to go to SOS in Ocean Drive? My husband produces a big beach music show on the radio here in Raleigh. Myrtle Beach would be good, too. Then we could go outlet shopping AND stamping!!! Glad you all had so much fun. (sniff, sniff!)

I found a package last night my DH failed to bring me from the mail, and I was so surprised to find your swaps!! Thanks so much! I was so disappointed not to be able to come at the last minute. You really touched my heart with your kindness. It is appreciated so much! And special thanks for the card and all the SCS names who are on the bottom. I have always known "Carolina Girls" are the best in the world, and I'm going to have DH dedicate this song to you on the radio tomorrow. He produces Big John's beach music show from 3-7 pm on Sundays in Raleigh, 93.9 FM, also on the Internet, so listen tomorrow while you're stamping!! (He's the "Souldog" heh, heh...) You GIRLS ROCK!!! Thank you so much for your generosity, and I'm going to look at the Gallery post so I can finish them! Thanks so very much, especially to whoever got them together and mailed them. Whoo hooo!!!
