Lunch/Snacks
We decided that it would be easier and cheaper for everyone if we just brought food to share! That way we could eat whenever and not interrupt our serious stamping time!;) We have divided up the categories so when you sign up, indicate what you would like to bring. I will list that next to your name on the registration. The following are the categories: Drinks (sodas, water, etc.), Paper products (Cups, napkins, plates, utensils), Sweets, Salty.
Also, if you bring a recipe, feel free to have copies to share! :-)
Don't forget- You are responsible for bringing your own adhesives and scissors. You may also want to bring a stamp scrub!
The following are the people who have indicated they are interested in attending. If you aren't listed and want to come, let me know. Also, if you are listed here and haven't signed up for a lunch item, let me know what you are bringing.

Well I'm in. Where could we do something like this? I saw in some other state's get together, that they did it in a library. I don't know if our librarys let you do stuff like that or not. We could do it outside in a park...well depending on the day and the weather. I guess that wouldn't work unless its a park with the pinic area shelters. I don't know, I guess my mind is kinda blank right now.
This sounds great! I live just outside of Columbia and work in Columbia. I'd love to get together! I work at a seminary that has meeting space, so if we need it, I could reserve a room. I'd be happy to meet anywhere though! There's also a Panera with an enclosed meeting room that could be reserved, depending on the size of our group. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and having a great time stamping!
Just an update! We are in the beginning stages of planning the Carolina Girls Get together! Subscribe to this thread and let any other "Carolina Girls" know we are planning this! If you have any ideas, pm me or thestampinmom(leslie) or list them here!
We will plan the first one for Columbia for this summer! Pass the word!
We have the place picked out and now are trying to find a great date to accomodate the majority of people. Since this is our first one, we will keep it to one day but it may grow! We are all excited and want some suggestions to make this first one great!
Don't forget to subscribe to this thread and pass the word!
Thanks,
Theresa

Way to go Theresa and Leslie for planning something. What all did you have in mind? I've heard of "shoebox swaps" but sorry to report (again) that I am clueless of what they are. Or are we going to get together and stamp stamp stamp? Just getting togethere to do any stamping would be great!!!
We have definetly talked about a shoebox swap and some other cool things! Of course we want to get to know each other so we can plan other awesome Carolina Girl Get Togethers! Keep the ideas and suggestions coming! :-)

Hey! Somehow I missed this new thread! I will be arriving in late July or early August, so if we are able to plan for mid-August, I would be most grateful, but obviously don't want anyone to plan the event around me. ;)
Lori, we are glad to have you coming to this great area! As soon as we pin down a date, we will let you know. We are toying with late July or early August!
Shoebox swap is a gimme! Start thinking girls! :-)

From what I have experienced with a shoe box swap...you plan a card and cut enough materials for everyone coming to make the card. Each person sets up a station for their card and then everyone rotates around making each card.
Alright Theresa -- the suspense is just about doing me in -- I just gotta know the date and where we are meeting. C'mon -- just a little tidbit of news......Please (said in my best whinney voice that I learned from my kids LOL) ;-) Seriously Theresa any news??
Ladies. We are having a scrapbooking day at Camden First Baptist on Saturday, May 13th. We will be stamping, scrapping, fellowshipping and giving away goodies. I'd love to see you there!
PM for more details.

We had one in Columbia about 3 years ago. There were about 15 women involved. You have everything needed to complete one card for however many people are going to be in attendence. It worked best for us to move to each station. It was great fun, and we all learned new techniques and experimented with new colors. I would love, love to do this again. If you guys need any help with planning, please let me know, I'd love to help.

Saturday July 29th from 10-4 in downtown Columbia at the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary on Main Street. Our own sweet katherinevw has access to some terrific rooms there with a kitchen, bathrooms (we all need those!;-) and plenty of room to spread out! We will be coming out with a registration form and more details soon! Please pass the word and keep the thread bumped up. Subscribe to the thread for all the latest scoop!
Reserve the date on the calendar ASAP! We look forward to meeting all our SCS sisters and friends on that Saturday!
