DH works over in St. Louis and filled up it was $3.59 today. In Illinois where we live it's 3.78 as of today.

so If I'm ready everything right - we have 26 participating, we need to have supplies for 25 people to make our card, one card made at our station, and one made for charity, and then we will just need one more made to swap with one person over the 25 right so totals of

Ladies. As most of you have read, Tracy will not be attending the stampede this year. :( This leaves a little extra for the remaining Stampede coordinators to work through. We are communicating with each other and will do our best to make everything run smoothly. Please ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to get them answered right away. WOW! The Attendee's List is down to 25...you are going to have so much fun. Sometimes a smaller group gets a chance to mingle and chat more...I still hate that I won't be there but there's always next year.

STAMPEDE UPDATES
Hi! All: Here are the newest STAMPEDE UPDATES, PLEASE READ:mrgreen: : (Please read this post completely and then feel free to hit me with questions). ;)
Okay the list is down to 25.
Shoebox Swap: Please cut and prepare for 25, have two cards completed, one to leave at your station with your shoebox items for visual reference and one that will be voted on and a prize given for the best card (you may use any theme that you wish for your card), (these cards will then be donated). See the DEETS sheet in post #1 for the items that you need to bring with you to the stampede in addition to your shoebox stuff.
ALSO, Please don't forget as outlined in the deets sheet prepared by our Lovely Tracy (who will be missed and thought of often during the stampede) that you need to bring with you a $5 to $8 treasure, this treasure can be purchased at the store or handmade (please have your treasure relate to stamping or scrapbooking if at all possible). Please wrap your treasure so that it is a suprise. Bring your treasure with you to the check in desk when you arrive, we will take your treasure and give you a number so that you may collect a treasure before the day is over. Everyone should bring a treasure with them.
Everyone needs to check in when they come in the building. We will do our best to have arrows pointing the way to the stampede. (I am sure you will hear us too. LOL). If you have not paid your $20 fee for the stampede Please do so.
We will have games and prizes and lots of fun.
The Stampede starts at 10am and ends at 6pm or whenever we finish the fun. I am sure with the smaller group we will have no problem being done by 6pm. Lunch will be provided and plenty of snacks. Please feel free to bring your favorite Non Alcoholic beverage in your favorite cup, preferably one with a lid. There will be some beverages available and when those expire there are soda machines on the premises and stores close at hand.
We will again have a name tag contest for the most creative name tag. Please include your First name and your SCS name on your name tags please.
Again the stampede theme this year is Western/Rodeo there will be a contest for the best theme dressed participant. (you do not have to dress the part if you prefer not to).
Come prepared to have fun!!!! I am sure I have forgotten something and my co-coordinators will fill in the blanks for me. LOL

There will be a handful of Yard sale tables so bring your pennies to get some good deals. Last year I got some EXCELLENT deals and am looking forward again to seeing what everyone has on their sale tables.

Something I forgot to add last night. There will be NO friday night dinner at Zappata's this year. I know normally we usually do the Friday night dinner before the stampede for those that can make it but we will not be doing the Friday night before this year. Sorry.

Refunds??? who is getting a refund. LOL Thats fine if you want to do a roll call. I think with all the changes of late it's just been a little crazy Randi and I are doing our best to take care of it all. Saturday will roll around just fine. ;)

Ladies, after a discussion with Randi, we wanted to let you know that since we have the room until 6pm and most of us have arranged for sitters for the day and our numbers have dropped, if anyone wants to bring some scrapbooking or other cards to work on after we finish the card swap please feel free to do so. That way we can visit and still be working on stuff. We are figuring that since the numbers have dropped it won't take as long to get things finished. So again we do have the room until 6pm and Randi and I will be there until 6pm so we might as well plan on utilizing our space and time together.:mrgreen:
We will have our Lunch catered in and there will be plenty of snacks for the remainder of the day. :mrgreen: Can't wait to see everyone.

just checking in on this thread to see how it's going....sure wish that I could join you guys but my son's HS graduation prevents it. The actual graduation is in the morning but family will be arriving Friday night and staying till Sunday a.m. so there is seriously no way although it would be sooo tempting to sneak off and stamp! Yes, yes...I am ONLY kidding! ;-)

Hi Ladies!! I have been totally out of touch with both my shoebox swap group and certainly the stampede!!! I just logged on and see that my name is still on the list for the Stampede but unfortunately I will not be able to attend. I am so sorry I didn't let you know sooner, I was thinking if I didn't pay then my name would come off the list!!
