LOL, see I knew other women would appreciate it!! MY DH says I'm crazy and that might be so, but my room at 65 degrees is just peachy - the more the merrier.

In Winter our heat is set at 62 degrees, my hubby says his nose gets cold and if it is 63 degrees he doesn't complain. So 63 it is!
Hi Ladies!
Sorry both Cammy and I have been MIA. I've been traveling a bit and Cammy hs her summer plans with the kiddos as well!
I'm so xcited to see everyone in October.
As of right now we have about 15 people signed up and only a few have sent in their payment. We were hoping to get at least 20-25 people signed up.
We'll see what happens.

SORT THROUGH YOUR STASHES!!! MAKE EXTRAS OF YOUR SWAPS AND SHOEBOX CARDS!!! I will be happy to collect donations of cards, cardfronts, and ATCs that you would like to donate to From Our Hearts!!! From Our Hearts My friends and I will finish the cards and send them on to FOH. They will be shipped to chaplains in Irag and Afganistan (40 sites X 250+ cards x 12 months=TONS (120,000+) of cards needed each year!!! 10,000 per month) so the troops will have cards to send home to their families. ALL types of cards are needed and welcomed! NO GLITTER! NO FEATHERS! NO BULKY EMBELLISHMENTS! Any glittered cards that do sneak in will be given to Ronald McDonald House. Thank you in advance!
Arlene, I will take a look at what I have - I am re-doing and re-organizing the craft room will check it out. . .
Michele, I think it will pick up after mid August so many people are away - seems not to be the "high" craft season yet! LOL, hopefully we get more people but it's always a great set of cards so if anyone sees this thread - it's a great group of ladies and the more the merrier!
Michele,
agree. I've been so busy that's I've been barely able to keep up with my DT work and all! Who said summer was relaxing??!
Arlene- I just gave 100 away to OWH. I will definitely bring some more. I have so many ATCs and cardfronts to donate. I'll try my best to mount some on cards to make it easier for you.
Hugs!

Hi all! We just got back on Monday from visiting my family in WI. It was such a wonderful week, but jammed packed with things. I need a vacation from the vacation. LOL!
Hi all! Montclair is pretty close for me (hubby works in Bloomfield the town over)... Subbing for now until I can figure out the logistics of childcare and stuff, but this sounds fun!

Sad to say that I don't think I will be making it. As much as I want to I just can't fathom the thought of getting up @ 2:30 in the morning and then driving six hours. Maybe another time :(

Again, sorry for being MIA. I've unfortunately been dealing with a very unpleasant health issue and it is taking me away from a lot of things. Michele & I have been working out details -- ironically, in the wee small hours when we both had a case of insomnia.
I felt the quake today and never experienced anything like it!! Moved my whole huge office complex in Franklin Lakes, so thankful it was just short and all my family from NYC out was and is safe.

WOW! That sure must have been very weird! My SIL in Wilmington, NC called DH this afternoon to tell him about it. They left work early. They're also getting a generator because of the hurricane possibility. And she wants us to move there???
that's why i love snow-you get some warning
i've been through a typhoon in okinawa, several hurricanes while in NC & SC
and a huge earthquake 8+ in 1989 in CA
give me winter anytime
Hope everyone is safe today after Irene going through. We had about 8.5" of rain in our area (according to our rain gauge) and a very wet basement. It is almost completely bailed out and will need to be cleaned up again later. My poor husband has been up since 3 dealing with it.
