Adelee, I am sad :( I cannot attend the second annual Calgary Classic as I had hoped. I learned early this week that I must be at an important meeting for council at a hospital that same weekend in Edmonton. Sure am going to miss all the fun that was had during last year's event. I also think it is great that you are supporting a great cause: Heart & Stroke. Take lots of photos of all the red PJ's and all the best ladies!

So, is it wrong for me to already be stressing about what the heck I'm going to pack for a weekend of crafting??? Thank GOD I live here and don't have to worry too much as I can always bring something different the next day.... but I am just *not* an "away from home crafter"!!!

Nope -- I will be changing my mind right up until the last minute.... I get so spoiled with the workshop that packing up and remembering everything is "new" again every time...... shouldn't be. Plus you want to maximize the luxury of having all the great minds together in one place and bring the project that can benefit from having a second opinion or forty....
Thanks Adelee for the b-day wishes! My company has all left now, so I'm finally able to get back on the computer. It was a crazy week with grad, birthday, lots of company, and trying to convince the little one to come out (but she's hanging in there).

Hi Everyone. Adelee just pm'd me about the event and I am so sad.....because I can't make it this year. Sad that I will miss seeing you all.....but happy I will be on the Papertrey cruise! You will all have a wonderful time. Take care.
My DF just wants me to sit in the yard while he is in the hot tub and I can't ...to much stuff to bring out in the yard ...what dp's do I take.. do I need my CB.. a different ink... just way to much running up and down stairs (not that the excercise would kill me) Best to just stay in the craftroom I say ... he can hot tub it alone...

The best advice I think came from smallpigpig - plan what you want to work on and then only bring half that.

I have another friend, who is thinking of coming, too. A weekend of scrapbooking is just her cup of.... well, glass of wine, I guess... not so much a cup of tea - that's me! :mrgreen:

I would dearly love too... during the last patch some shingles were blown off and we have some damage to the roof as well as the inside of our home... the constant rain is just not helping. The insurance guy is coming today.. I hope it holds off long enough for him to get onto the roof... fingers crossed.
I wish you best of luck with the seasonal allergies that is not fun...
