My husband and I are in the miracle camp too.......... I "hear" you. (hugs)
I have you in for the make and takes....
Just wanted to pipe in on the miracle chat. Been there done that also and waited seven years for my beautiful daughter. A little trick we tried was putting our names in for adoption, attending all the 'parenting' classes, getting all the forms, checks and all completed, waited two years with no end in sight, then low and behold the 'miracle'. Long story short we gave up on the 'trying' and went for the 'fun' stage. Don't give up but make sure to take care of you as a couple. LOL
thanks, Deb.... yes, it IS a lot... I want to do it, but I can't sign up for it just yet.... I haven't had any time to scrap at all this week, and before I know it October will be here! So, I won't make any promises until things are better on the home-front!

Adelee/Christine - Will I get one of my 12x12 scrapbook pages back? My #10 page I did put my journalling on it as well as my picture. If I'm not supposed to get one of my own back, I'll do up one more page, otherwise I'll just take mine back. I thought it would be nice to show a completed page.
just a note on the *miracle* chat too -- my dear niece and her DH have been trying for 5 years. They did invitro last year, was successful, but she miscarried about 5 weeks later. They are back on the invitro waiting list (at a cost of $15,000 each time - they have struggled to save this but have managed by setting priorities). Now ....
a friend of a friend of a friend (clear as mud, ya) has a friend on the other end of the country -- lady (39 years old) got pregnant -- does not want the baby -- went for an abortion -- wouldn't do it, she was too far -- has no children -- her boyfriend does not want the baby -- YEAHHHH they have agreed to a private adoption. I'm praying that after she gives birth in December that she won't change her mind (but she has already given up one child for adoption about 15 years ago). We pray that this will all work out for my niece.
SO YOU NEVER KNOW HOW MIRACLES HAPPEN -- KEEP FAITH

I found the best way to sneak a camera into a concert when they are checking bags is pick the line with a male security guy and stick the camera in a inside pocket of your purse and put tampons and pads on top and around it. Works like a charm but only if you have male security doing the search. ;)
Greyhound has started checking all carry on luggage like the airports now. Would have to check the site to see what the restrictions are but I think I would rather pay the extra $ and go red arrow. Actually DH said he would give me the extra $ to go red arrow :-D
Of course that is because he wants to take the truck with him to Wainwright for a month. Which leaves me wondering how to get the cat to grandma's and making me the bad guy in leaving her behind :( She will cry off and on the first day walking around looking for me and DH though I know grandma (dh's mom) will try to keep her distracted the best she can. If I had one I could leave a two year child no problem but my 2 yr old cat........:( I must have been dropped on my head as a child.

Happy Sunday a.m. I went to the Masters for the first time yesterday. It was so amazing. I got to see 10 athletes fresh from the Olympics.... it was a treat to watch TEAM CANADA in action. I can't wait to go back, I'm Hooked.

Sweetheart - you are Adelee..... Deb is "I'm Hooked"
Okay not so funny... but I liked it!
I still don't have a room back -- so I may be bringing up the end of the ready group this year.....so not like me. I'm usually in the race to be done first... Good work Lisa. Now ... What to pack????
Mine are done too Lisa. They are fairly simple -- but man they were a LOT of work. Don't think they show just how much work they were -- but they took FOREVER (and not because I just fiddled around with them either)

I was offered tickets (for free) to go watch The Masters (the year Mike Weir WON) and I thought he was joking. So, of course, to not get caught up in the joke, I turned them down. Brian was shocked that I did and he totally convinced me that it was not a joke. Agco has owned seasons passes for the Masters for 20 years and this was the President and CEO of Agco that had offered them to me. :( :( :( (kick self hard in the butt)

I would love to see the Golf Masters too...
No when I said TEAM CANADA and the OLYMPICS, I meant Ian Millar and the Crew and was at Spruce Meadows for the Masters. I got to see horses, jumping, etc...... It was really amazing. The crowd was wonderful and community so inviting and friendly.
Haha -- I knew that it wasn't right now if it were the golf Masters. That was a couple of months ago -- but maybe you were just letting me know now that you were there -- but nope -- horses it is. I someday too will go down to Spruce Meadows to watch the show jumping. I've heard it's really great.

Today DH is the same as he has been for the last week - dizzy, sleeps a lot, but his cuts are healing well. GS is quite ornery, and I think that has a lot to do with how he has internalized the accident. His whiplash seems improved, and he is starting to get grouchy, so I assume that is a good sign. I think on Monday, I will let him participate in gym, as long as he feels well.
DD1 is in a lot of pain. She saw a therapist today who noticed that the vertebra in her neck are not aligned - she has one to the right, one to the left, and one kind of twisted.... in her neck. I need to take her to a chiropractor I'll try to get her to see one tomorrow, otherwise, I will have to wait for Monday. She is not allowed to carry her backpack or her books to/from class. In fact she is not permitted to carry anything. She can't work this week - maybe next week, and she has to stay out of choir for a week or two. I'm trying to figure out how I can drive her to school and carry her backpack to her locker, then make arrangments for someone to walk her books for her... from class to class. Then somehow, I also have to get DS to his school, and DD2 to her school, which are all in the same vicinty... but I can't be 3 places at once! DD1 can't use a backpack on wheels, because that still strains the neck.... some people will do anything to get out of emptying the cat litter!
DD2 is completely falling apart. Our lives are so out of routine with driving all over for doctor's app'ts, massage, psychologists, piano & voice lessons, that none of the kids get much, if any, downtime. DD2 definitely needs her down time. She has a cold, too, which doesn't help her any, either!
And I am exhausted... I don't have time for much of anything. In fact, we are eating off of paper plates so there is one less chore to do, as the dishwasher doesn't work. I'm getting short-tempered, and am too tired by 7pm, to even think straight Today I wore my old glasses from 4 years ago, and I didn't even notice until around 6pm! Crazy! DD2 seems to get up 2 or 3 times a night - so I'm not sleeping enough, either! Today was my first day back at work since the accident.. and that just takes up 4 hours of my precious little time... I have so many phone calls to make and replace some lost items that are necessary (ie fall jackets) I'm feeling very stressed and very exhausted - and have very little time for myself, although I am working really hard on getting time for me.... it is just at a bare minimum, so my usual fun things I do for myself to keep myself sane and calm, just aren't happening. And, of course, I am the go-to person for everything.. mom, where is.....? Mom, I need to go to..... Mom, I'm bored..... Mom, we don't have anything good to eat... Mom, do we have more milk? Mom, I am really sore..... Mom, I NEED you to come to my school today.... Mom, my toothpaste ran out... MOM! I HAD such-and-such IN THE TRAILER..... now it is gone FOREVER... WAAAAHHHHHH! *sigh* I can do this, I can do this...... :(
Our dogs have not been found... I don't think they will....
Wow, Neeru!!! I am so sorry to hear you are going through all of this! I saw the picture of the truck, they are very lucky to walk away! I hope things start to look up for you - TRY to take some time for yourself so you don't burn out!!! You won't be any good to any of them, if you become sick or ill!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!!! ((hugs))
Neeru I am so sorry to hear about the after math too.... it is one thing to survive the day -- it is another to live with the effects. I hope that you can take time to just enjoy each other and have "respite" from the accident. Can you have a Friday night pizza and game night -- or movie night as a family to just chill and enjoy each other?? I truly wish you all the best, it is so hard not to get bogged down by life's little details and not to get worn down... I'm sure you are handling it a lot more gracefully than you are saying.... just remember there are people out here that are supporting you.
Hi Adelee, I'm so glad to there is still space left! Can you please sign me up and I will slip a cheque in the mail ASAP. Thanks so much. See you in a month!

Time for a swap countdown.
Ready.....set....go!
I'M DONE!
yupyupyup - I got them all finished.
Yesterday was the big day to finish my "Challenge" swap. Designed, and done......and Christine - no ribbon right, no manufactured, off of the roll, pay through the nose ribbon, right? Just clarifying that point. I got 'creative'.....
So now I am done - just waiting for the super secret instructions for the swaps.
Robin -- I am very excited to see how creative you were....... Now what are you going to do with your time. Find new uses for hat pins?
I am living Ground Hog day  yup -- you guessed it, waiting to see if the painters are comming.... We actually just pulled the last crew and got our insurance company to hire a new group. Enough is enough. They are starting on Wednesday. So I have two days to wait in the piles..... So, I'm leaving for the day. Cheers
Thanks, Christine and Adelee for your support.... I am afraid I do have to back out of the 3D swap - I'm not sure I can get it done, so I would rather take my name off, and sign up again, if I do get them done... does that make sense?

No worries Neeru. I will take you off the list.
There isn't very many on it anyway

Thanks, Ladies! I still want to do the card fronts, though! As soon as I can get a system going for those, it won't take too long... the trick, of course, is getting the first one!
I hope to scrap with Punk this weekend... so hopefully lots will get done!
