Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend. This would have been my first card swap and I just don't feel experienced enough to do the right kind of card that would work for the group. So.... is there anyone that wants to take my spot? If not, just leave it vacant. Hopefully I'll be able to make another one down the line when I'm more experienced.

Nickie, my very first swap was with this wonderful group of ladies. I drove in from San Antonio to join and they all did everything they could to make me feel welcome. My card was not up to par but no one told me that. My door prize was horribly inadequate but luckily Geeta got it so she had to be nice about it so I would keep taking her classes!
We all have to pop our swap cherries some time and this is the best group you can ever hope to do it with. I hope you can still make it. If for no other reason, the food is fabulous!
PM me if you need any ideas for door prizes or other silly questions.
I hope to see you there...
Please don't feel intimidated. It is all for fun and fellowship. You might learn some new techniques or see some products you never saw before. It is really a good time with no pressure.
I'm thinking on the whole name tag thingee, I'll be working on that one Friday night LMAO < ----------- picture of me under definition of "procrastinator". Honest. Cannot wait, need a huge break. Now I think at 9:43 I will start packing for tomorrow. I also have a swap to deliver some time tomorrow afternoon with sodas and such to an event I won't be attending but have an obligation to supply. Tomorrow = crazy busy.
As for the one scared to jump in on this group, heck I know about three of you gals personally; the rest - nope. I may not be a professional but Jeannie and I put our hearts into our cards and we hope they are well received. Same with door prizes. We love being a part of it even if we put something together that isn't home made; we did it all with love and fun in mind!
Karmen, promise I will be okay this weekend with the food. Remind me to "eat slow!" : )
My 10 yr-old son started a car wash business about a year ago. If you would like to have your car washed on Saturday during the swap, he will have a sign-up sheet in the crop room.
Rates
Option A $5 - wash outside of car
Option B $6 - outside plus tires
Option C $7 - outside plus tires plus windows

Thought I had some TT, but I don't. I do, however, have eggplant grosgrain that you are welcome to. I have an almost full spool of 25yds.

Hey Brenda!!! I have both, so I'll bring them just in case.
So I started actually making my card this morning, kept adding or changing things and at 2:30 I finally decided to cut. I'm almost done cutting. If I am done with this card before 3am, it will be a first for me!!! :o
I decided to move laundry up the priority list - it was that or show up sans pants... :-D
Dagnabit :( I have scars and glue (still!) all over my belly so I wasn't going to wear pants but ... I guess if Libby is wearing pants, I will too (womp, womp)
Thanks girls! It was a fun day! I enjoyed catching up ~ all the smiles and hugs we terrific too! Thank you Brenda, Karen and Karmen for everything! And thanks to Hero Arts for the fun prizes.
I was a newbie to the "shoebox swap" but everyone was very helpful and friendly. The cards were fabulous and I learned many new techniques that I would have never thought to try before. My door prize was AWESOME....Thanks Michelle. Good food, good fun and good company. What else do you need??
An extra BIG "thanks" to Karen, Brenda and Karmen for putting on such a great swap. I am already looking forward to the next one!

I hope I'll be forgiven for hijacking this post, but I promise that it's for a really great cause. Cammy Wall, one of my fellow Bugaboo Stamps DT members is raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and you would NOT believe the amazing blog candy that was donated by so many wonderful companies to help her do so.
It was such a great day, yesterday! It was great seeing and stamping with all of you! I'm already looking forward to the next one!
