I can't wait to meet all you procrastinators! We are going to have SO much fun!!
True story... Back in my college days (over 20 yrs ago) I purchased a book called Overcoming Procrastination. I still have the book but have yet to read it. Pitiful, I know.
Please add Heather DeRosa's name to the waitlist. She will send her payment to Karen if she is able to get a spot. You can notify her if a spot becomes available at [email protected].
Ooooooooooo........... An Austin Shoebox Swap! Should I? I haven't been to an SCS Shoebox Swap in YEARS! I think the last one I went to was the Austin one at Steiner Ranch - that was a long time ago!
Oh, what the heck! Sign me up for Saturday, please!
Brenda,
Can you make sure Suzanne's name gets added to the list. Or did I just overlook it?
I am trying like crazy to design a card. Why is it that I can sit down and stamp at anytime but when it comes to a swap I can't do it! It has something to do with making it reproducible. uggg

I think I have my card designed! I ordered some ribbon and a stamp from AMuse this weekend and it shipped today - YAY! I should get it on Thursday. I'll try it out this weekend and see how it looks. I can't wait!!!

I am kinda stumped to what theme I should do...what is everyone else doing?
Last year there was another swap held the first weekend in December to do a Christmas card swap. Do you think we will do it again this year? I have Saturday, December 4 available.

Card Guidelines and Registration Form have been uploaded, FINALLY!!!! They are at the bottom of post #1. Sorry it took so long. I am trying to adjust to being a working mom.
I was wondering about that too Christy... I was kinda thinking Christmas but maybe Halloween??? How about a vote....??? I dont know how to put a poll on the thread but maybe someone does.... Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Other/Dont know?
If we are talking about the Oct. 2nd theme, I thought it was an open them? Personally I would never use 40 Halloween cards, not in this lifetime? So that would be a big vote against that?
Maybe we could do a theme sign up so we got a nice variety at the end of the day?

We have every weekend in September booked so I had to get my card done now (or risk doing it at midnight on Oct 1st!). Here is a pic of my finished card - I guess its a "Thank You" card... I hope y'all like!
My reg form and check for $35 went postal today - I will be a Saturday only :( I have no idea why I am so ahead this swap... hmmmm ... curiouser and curiouser

SUPER cute!! I'm ready to make it now, but I guess I have to get my card ready first... You know I'll be up the night before doing it! ;-)

I heard a rumor that Lisa's (great4u) door prize is amazing and that everyone is going to fight over it!!!! Seriously-----I don't know how it could possibly be any better than the ones she's done before, but it is!!! I tried to get it out of her what it was, but she wouldn't spill the beans. I might just have to get her drunk on wine to get it out of her.

I have no ideas about mine yet:(...I may just skip it LOL. How lame is that? On the other hand I have already purchased my paper and planned my swap card. A new record for me:p

I was just telling Bren that all I've got left to do is cut the white paper panels and I'm done with everything!!!
My check is in the mail! Also, I never saw a response to the question - "Does it have to be a card?" I'm thinking that I might switch it up a bit this year! And, yes, Lisa's door prize is AWESOME!

It doesn't have to be a card, we have had projects before. The issue is the time constraint. As long as it can be assembled in around 10 minutes or so, it should be okay. Just do alot of prep work and it is toatlly possible. I think we had a coil notebook last year. That's the one that I remember off the top of my head. I can remember bookmarks and seed packets or something in the past as well.
