This is the last of our Michigan Mingle pre-event activities (well, that we have planned so far anyway  ) If you are registered for the mingle and want to participate make sure you send me your answers to the PM I sent you by the end of the day.
Hello all! I'm signed up for the SCS MI Mingle but am unclear what is involved in the shoebox swap (first timer to a mingle). There's 3 of us from my stamping group that are attending together and we were going to start working on our projects. Let me know....muchos gracias!

Hi! There are some details in the 1st post and you will get a letter in the mail with specific numbers, but the basic idea is...
You design a card or small project. It must be relatively simple and can be completed in about 10 minutes. You then cut enough pieces of paper and include them in a shoebox along with enough pieces of ribbon, or brads, or whatever you used on your card for that same card to be made 10-12 more times. You will include the stamps you used and ink you used in the box and if there are any special adhesives like pop dots put those in there too. Tools like a piercer or punches that are needed to complete it should go in the box too.
At the event you will go around to each box at your assigned table and complete all the projects. You will carry your own adhesive and stamp cleaner/scrubber with you.
You should not do things that involve heat embossing or anything else that requires electricity to complete unless you want to do that part for them ahead of time (ie put 10-12 already embossed images in the box). I hope that helps. If you have any further questions you can PM me, TracyM. or pattyb.
Hehehehehehe. Hopefully I won't be a slacker there. But ask Jane. I am so busy watching everyone else that it will probably be a stretch to get them completed. I will need LOTS of coffee.

Just an FYI - the "on line" challenges will be posted on the first of each month
The coordinator challenges that will be done at the mingle will not be posted ahead of time  All you'll see is a short and sweet "Suggested Supply list" that you'll need to bring with you to complete the challenges in March.
Just a little reminder, if you are participating in the secret stamper this month is over in just over a week. You should be sending two cards out to your partner this month. And when you receive those cards please post a thank you in the chat thread, linked in my signature.
Oh and if you haven't signed up for the mingle yet, what are you waiting for??? Just over three weeks until registration closes.
The dinner list has been updated. Remember, it is limited seating, so don't miss your chance to join us for a fun filled meal! The price includes everything except alcohol! It's pre-paid so you don't have to worry about it when we get there!
The chat thread is now on part 6! The link in my signature will take you there. Come get to know everyone a little better. Stop in when you can and say HI! Don't even try to read back. You'll be there for days.
Don't forget, if you're here in Michigan, email me your addy and you can be added to the "Michigan Minglers Map" All I need it your screen name and home address.
The info you give is for putting yourself "on the map", just a way for us Michiganders to see where everybody is.

Is the "map" just those michiganders that attend the mingle?

No, it's for everybody in Michigan. I've even put on the map some of the gatherings that have happened.
Also, on there is the February lunch in Port Huron, where a bunch of us are getting together to meet. Some are going to the March mingle, some aren't. It's just so a bunch of us can meet in person after chatting online all this time. Anyone is welcome.
Updating Post #3 - the February challenges are posted - remember these challenges are optional - they are merely meant as a means to jumpstart your mojo for the work you'll have to do in March

Um, we have work to do in March?
