Congrats on booking the GB Cottage! That's exciting. I got my Sisterhood of the LOSTies T-shirt and tank on my doorstep today. :( Made me sad but I'm happy I have them!
I miss you guys!

Don't give up, Rhonda. There's still time for things to work out and we would love it if you could make it at the last minute!

I don't really stamp much. I'm just here for the company.
I was just wondering if we have a list of people who are going...
I am trying to anticipate the cost of the weekend, Rich wants an outline of it all. And I am thinking about booking a flight.
I know it's $1000 for the weekend but I am wondering where we are at as far as splitting the cost between how many girls?
What do we anticipate for food costs?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Colleen! Love your new avatar!
I don't have a list of definites yet - my plan is to make everyone decide for sure whether or not they're going by May 1 so people have a little over a month to save and send me their money. I'll be sending an e-mail out to everyone soon. I do know for sure that there will be at least 10 people, so the MOST it will cost for the house will be $100 per person, but I anticipate it being less than that.
As far as food, that's a little trickier. Since Jus is picking up a chunk of the grocery tab, I don't think the rest of us would be chipping in much more than maybe $30 or so toward groceries. The unknown part is how much will be spent eating elsewhere - Sonic, Hog Heaven, etc.

I'll be giving Jus moola for food and I figured we'd eat dinner out a lot. I'm sure I'll be making a few trips for coffee, sonic, etc... But at least eating out, people can spend what they want or don't want on food...
As the time gets closer, I'm sure we'll put together a list of requests for Jus - things that can be gotten at Costco so Jus isn't running all over the place.
As for myself, I think I'd probably plan on dinner out Friday or Saturday at that BBQ place maybe and Sonic once, maybe even for lunch on the way up to the house, but other than that, I don't really plan on going out for food a lot. I mean obviously, if everyone else is going, I'm not going to sit at the GBC myself, but I'm going to be looking to lay low for most of the weekend and not spend a bunch of money going out to eat and stuff.
For girls who need their coffee, there is a coffee machine in the kitchen and a coffee center in the workshop, so don't feel like you have to drive 20 minutes and spend a bunch of money for your coffee fix!

I figured breakfast and lunch would be easier (less food) and eating out for dinner easier (more choices) but we'll see what everyone is up for (and we don't all have to do the same things either) A nice little drive might be nice too... I like to eat out, get coffee, drinks... I'm planning on splurging a bit since this is my vaca for the year....
Unfortunately I just went to book my flight and the SS SITE IS DOWN!!!! Are you freakin' kidding me???
As for food....I'll be the Debbie Downer that stays in. I am all for going out maybe 1 night, but that's about it. Going out to eat just means more expenses I will have to incur and I am trying to be as frugal as I can. I could handle $30 for food for the weekend. I was hoping it would be under the $50, otherwise I was gonna buy a box of cereal and a gallon of milk for myself and call it a day! LOL!
YAY Colleen! Woohoo for not flying alone!! I can't wait to meet my twin! ;-)
Stacy - you're totally right that we don't all have to do the same thing. Edie and I were talking about that a little while back - there will be some that are looking for a low key stamping vacation, some that want to splurge and see the sights and some that fall somewhere in between. And that's just fine!

Ok...it's official!! I am IN! I just booked my flight. I am flying with Alyson and Leslie....and Cindy!
I am going to my Aunt Marsha's the week before with Jax. And then I am driving up to Alyson's the night before. WOO HOO!!!!
CAKEAPALOOZA HERE I COME!!!!!
WOO HOO! That's GREAT!
I'm with you about not going out too much. Might be fun if there's an LSS close by on Saturday maybe to hit the store and stop somewhere to get a quick something. If not, that's okay too.

There isn't a LSS nearby, so make sure you bring everything you'll need with you!

I have decided I have food OCD, so I will most likely eat out a lot and do coffee runs and Sonic runs!! I like to order what I like...
I better get a fuel efficient rental car!!! GMBO!!!
