Hey I'll play! Not often I get to see a thread and be one of the first posters...ok that has never happened before
I can't wait to see what everyone posts!
This is probably the most favorite...it was hard to pick...
Can I also mentioned that we had some awesome challenges this year? I have not seen a bad card yet in the CAS25 sketch challenge, TLC221 Trishutter, or TLC215 Flowerpot galleries. Thanks to ALL of the hostesses who have kept us challenged through the year!
I would have to say this one is my favorite of 2009.
- love the image (Holly is such an amazing illustrator!)
- love the sentiment (which I think I did a pretty good job of adding to without being glaringly obvious)
- like that I was able to make the dog look like our furbaby
- like that I followed through on one of my crafty resolutions to 'use more of the good stuff' (I tend to lean towards the CAS cards, used lots of layers and embellies on this one)
Runners up include:
This one (I finally did a decent job sponging on this one and I had fun trying the crayon resist technique for the first time)
and This one (it is 'green' and I liked the way I was able to use up scraps and I think this is the best Copic coloring job I have done to date).
Happy 2010 Everyone!
Look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with next year!
I love this one. I love this set with all the different sleigh fillers. For this card I picked the candy cane filler so I could pair it with the candy cane ribbon. I love the antiquey look of the sleigh with the crackle accents.
But this one is a close second. I adore the pinks and it was SO easy to put together. It's one of my Five Minute Friday cards.
Great thread! I can't wait to see everyone's favs!
It was really tough to pick just one. I had to pick two.
The first one, because of the response I got from the recipient. She sent me a ''thank you" card for sending her a card. More often than not, I never even know if the card has arrived at it's destination!
And the second one, again because of the recipient, my son. My boys are so use to seeing my cards that they never have more than a flat "oh that's nice" response, but when my son turned 22 this month, I pulled this card out. He is a self-taught guitarist and a very talented one at that!
I tried.....really I did try to choose just one but I failed miserably. Here are my top three.....
I love this one because it is just brings me a sense of peace whenever I look at the picture....it's all I have because I sold it. It's actually a photo album. Instant Sale by beaddict at Splitcoaststampers
Glitter is my best friend. I love glitter! This is the first card I ever made that when it was done I was totally wowed by it :-) I'm not usually wowed by my own work... I think I need to go home and play with more glitter....I feel inspired.
I agree....what a fun thread.....
It is hard to decide but I loved this one: A winter walk that I gave to my inlaws for Christmas but this one: Curved Garland was so fun to make.
I did a lot of color challenges this year and here is my favorite:

oooh... this is fun. I just love seeing everyone's different styles and tastes.
my first card I mad for my sister's birthday. I think it is the prettiest card I have ever made. Pretty Butterfly by Angela1 at Splitcoaststampers
I have looked at all the cards you ladies have posted so far. Such talent! Such creativity! There's a lot to admire here and all over SCS. You all inspire me every time I visit!
This one is a case of Lauraly, whose work I love so much. I used a clip art picture, but there is also stamping and much work on it. I love the distressed look of it, and that it is so masculine. Home on the Range by Cathy'sFancy at Splitcoaststampers
What a great thread. I made this card for my BILs wedding........which ended up being called off so I still have the card. I loved making it so a favourite. The 2 links are the same card, one from the front, then the side.
This is a fun thread! Beautiful cards by everybody and whole lot of inspiration!
Like everybody, I'd a hard time picking just one . I guess when it's something you've made with love, each one is close to your heart in a different way. If I HAD to pick one, this is would be it.
I think it was this one, because it involved more stamping and less everything else. It reminded me that I really can make a nice card with only white paper and very few embellies! And I did it with a bunch of my retired stamp sets. I don't know why we devalue those so!!

Okay, it was REALLY hard to pick just one. I was so blessed this year because my stamping buddies and I got to take a brayering class taught by Michelle Zindorf! We all loved the technique (and her, too)! So I had to choose a card using the brayer. Here's my....
