ooohh. that's a holiday weekend and maybe I could go. I have some thinking to do. If I go I'll spend too much of my monthly budget. Arrgghh. Have to think.

Budgets are like rules....made to bent and broken!
I've been a member of SCS for a little while, but not yet posted anything. (still a big chicken ) Can't tell you how much help the forums have been for me when decisions on product or techniques were needed. Now I'll finally get to go to my first Stamp show at the York, PA Fairgrounds...already have my ticket! Can't wait!! See ya there!
I'd love to go but that's about a 3 hour or more ride for me from S Jersey. Is that Show location as crowded as the Allentown, PA Show?? I see from the post card I received, there are several different Vendors at that Show from the Allentown one.
For those of you who have attended in the past, be aware that the convention is located in a different building this year. In the past it was in the far end of the Toyota Arena (labeled Arena -Exhibit Center on the attached pic). This year it is in Memorial Hall East.

Thanks for this info Purpleflowers... I've never been before, will there be any signs at all or do we just have to know where we are going
Karen, if you have every been to the womens show...its in that building.
Thanks, but I haven't been to any events at the York Fairground... or anywhere in York for that matter. Lived here since 1994 and barely know my way around Hanover. (jk) LOL...
Thanks though, I hope I'll find it okay.
I can talk my husband into driving me an hour and a half to Allentown because he can then go seven miles down the road to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem but there's no way he'll drive me four hours to York.
Kathy, Maybe you can talk him into coming for the weekend and he can... uhhhhh... okay so there isn't much around here that he can do :( , unless he would like to go over to Gettysburg, but maybe he would do it so you can come to the event. (My hubby has decided to stay home and meditate the inside of his eyelids )
Won't work. I talked him into taking me to the Ranger Warehouse sale next Saturday. He'll never give up two weekends in a row. I'll just wait until April for the Allentown show. He also takes me to the big bead show in King of Prussia so I can't complain.
Well, Kathy, you are already lucky that he will take you to those events. My hubby would too, I'm just getting into them so figure that my first I can go alone since it is just over to York. Hope to run into you at one of the other ones.
BTW.. what and where is the Ranger warehouse sale?
The Ranger warehouse sale takes place at their warehouse in Tinton Falls, NJ. They make the Adirondack inks line, Distress inks, UTEE, Stickles and a bunch of other stamping products.

OMGoodness Kathy! I'll have to look up Tinton Falls and see how far for me. Sounds like a great place to be on 'sale day'
Looks like I can come to the show on Sunday! Hurray! I will be coming from Chambersburg and according to mapquest, it should be easy to find. Any special directions for me once I get to the fairgrounds? I have never been there before. I will be sure to mention SCS at the Rubbernecker booth. How will the rest of us know each other? This is going to be great!

I'm happy to hear you will get to come. I hope to go both days actually. So will look for you... maybe we can carry little signs saying 'I'm a SCS'er' LOL

I've seen people with nametags on before at events....and they have your SCS name on them as well.
When you get to the fairgrounds...follow the crowds, and there are normally signs. Its not in the Toyota Arena....its east of that building.

I will more than likely have a nametag on, so hopefully I'll get to meet lots and lots of people! Leslie....IL isn't all that far from York in the grand scheme of things....come on over!
I live about 2 hours from York. I went to the show last year and am thinking about going this year. Problem is... I made too many impulse buys there last year and a lot of it I haven't used much and I'm afraid of doing the same thing this year :-(
I think it's a great idea to wear a nametag with our SCS names on it. When I've gone to other shows in the past I've often wondered how many of us were there.
Wow, gals, I live in Hanover! This is the first time I've seen someone on here from Hanover! I didn't even know there was a stamp show in York! I've got a busy schedule already that weekend (including a trip to the Penn State game!) or I surely would have made the effort to go!

Hi Sandy, I've lived in Hanover since 1994. Joined this site a year ago, but rarely got online. Now I am retired and have more free time I'm trying to learn as much as I can about different techniques. I ordered 6 stamps sets from GKD's last great sale (buy 2 get 1) and then ordered a set of Copic markers. I'm ready to roll...
Oh darn! Can't you free up one of the days? The show is the 9th & 10th of Oct. I plan to go both days as I know how slow I am when browsing
