I have WGII and have used it a ton! Customers like it cuz it's an easy set to work with. Maybe check the gallery to see which appeals to you more if you're trying to decide which to buy.
I have always wanted II. I got WG I just recently as an incentive (b/c WGII was over the price limit). I have used WGI A TON, but I am getting WGII right away. They are very different.....are you a two-stepper or a one stepper?
I love my Botanicals set. That said, I haven't used it for a while. Still, I love it.

WCG I was my first stamp set ever, so I have a special place in my heart for it. I love WCGII, too, but did you see . . . it's on the RETIRED LIST! I was pretty surprised. Let's not forget WC Minis -- they're fun and pretty, too!
Botanicals is on my list but it always gets pushed back in favor of something else. I figured WGII would be around for a long time and I don't have that one either. And Christmas Foliage... as soon as I saw the Holiday Mini with Painted Poinsettias I KNEW they were going to retire Christmas Foliage. No contest here which one I like better, CF all the way.
With the retired list, although it is RARE, they have decided to not retire it, such as Hedgehog Happiness last year. Either that or they messed up in the catalog proofs and forgot to delete the image.
I'm wondering if we all deluge SU with phone calls, BEGGING them to not retire WGII and Filigree (and Paisley for some of you) just maybe they might not????
I'm just dumbfounded by Filigree ::cry boohoo sniff sob::
I love WCG 1 the best, but its been used so much! WCG2 is easy for new stampers and you get such a beautiful result even if you mess up! ha! I have both and will hang on to them as classics.
Botanicals...I feel its a must have. Every time I do something with it I get compliments. It was hard to grasp at first, but I'd never give it up. However, I think new stampers could be intimidated by it unless its their natural style. It was an 'outside the comfort zone' set for me.
The list IS official now. WCGII & Botanicals are both on it!!!!

I love both WCG and WCG 2. Now 2 is retiring and I'm sad about that. But I think WCG is more versatile since it has 4 (I think) *different* kinds of flowers - the big daisy-like flower, a rose, a lily, and the hyacinths! Plus lots of leaves, a butterfly, a bee and a sentiment! You don't get all that with WCG 2, even though the 2-step stamping with WCG 2 has an awesome effect!
I think botanicals is a must have. It is great if you like to collage, great for vintage looking stuff, great for lots of stuff! Can you tell that mine is permanently stained with black ink?
Definitely Watercolor garden 2. And for me Botanicals is a must have. I have made alot of great cards with that set using copper and it makes me so sad to see it go! It is also my standard Sympathy card set becaue it can be masculine or feminine. I just put a small sympath saying on the front and a verse on the inside. Just love that set.
I have all the WCGs and love them! However, I hate Botanicals. It is not a must have for me. The only reason I keep it is that I like the script block. I got it as hostess rewards, but that was a few years ago. It's just not my style anymore.
