Default Wow ~~ what a difference!!!

So my computer monitor died a slow & ugly death this morning ~~ JUST as I was waiting for the WT challenge to be posted :( It kept clicking at me, & would NOT turn on. So......when dh got home from work I went to my mom's house to grab her un-used monitor ~~hooked it up ~~ & lo & behold there IS a difference with monitors!!!! Now, I realize I could have adjusted the brightness & color on my monitor, but I guess I was just so used to it the way it was. I had to futz with this one a bit, but the colors are so clear & bright!! I had posted a card yesterday ---had turquoise in it, but it looked dark teal on my monitor. That was the first thing I checked with my new one ---it's the right color!!! LOL!!!! I checked one of my fave stamper's gallery --love her art, but her pics always seemed a bit dark to me. NOT ANYMORE!!!!! Wooohooooo!!!

So.......not that this is really *stamping* related, but I just wanted to share how monitors ARE really different, & can show different colors!!!!!!

I am a happy browser once again (& I guess it *is* stamping related, because I was without my beloved SCS ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!)

I know what you mean! I had an old monitor until about 3 months ago. Seriously, it was from our first computer 11 years ago. The colors were screwy- like the screen would go this fluorescent green color every so often and you just had to wait for it to quit doing it. But I decided I didn't feel like buying a new monitor. Until I started trying to fix digi pics and do some design work, and in the middle of the work it did that green thing. So, I broke down and got a new one. HOLY COW! I couldn't believe I put up with that old monitor for so long.

I imagine you are going to be spending alot of time in the gallery seeing the cards with a new set of *eyes*....

I'm looking in *my* gallery with a new set of eyes, thinking "why did I lighten these pics so much?" LOL!! Now they all look too bright to me!!!!

Funny thing is, this monitor is a year older than mine was, but it's a better one. It's been sitting in my mom's computer room unloved for the past 4 years!! It was a frustrating event this morning, losing my monitor (I was in SCS withdrawal) but now I'm glad it happened, lol!!!!

I know what you mean! My mom just got a new computer and she is constantly like "look at this, it looks so much prettier than the last time I saw it"
