I really want the stamp..but its only 3 1/2 X 2 1/2..thats not real big....and they say thats the only way I can have it shipped...just seems like an awful lot!!! I'm in Ga. ....not even the UK or Canada!!!! I made a mistake...the stamp is 9.99!!!! This is from a large stamp co. with great stamps!!
I agree w/Amy...if I HAD to have it I would. Otherwise nope. I'd go looking on ebay or something. I hate paying all that in shipping when it probably really only costs like $1.50!!
Probably not. Normally if I am going to order something I try and get the most for my postage as I possibly can - so I would go through the catalogue and order more stuff. I normally wait until I can order most of what I want before I place an order.
I hate to admit it but I Have done it, I had to have the stamp and nobody knew what I had done.
haha...I have too!!! once...and I swore I'd never do it again.....but I think it was for a holiday stamp...this is just a stamp I'd like to have with nothing special in mind for it.....

Well, now you've got me curious!

I agree, that is high but here's the thing. Some of the smaller companies use certain shipping methods like the post office. For example, if a company ships Global Priority mail to Canada from the US, that starts at 7.95. KWIM? So, I think maybe we need all the details to decide.
I hope you can find a few other things that you "need", (LOL) to justify the shipping.
Hugs to you!

I am afraid I would do it. Reason being--I live in the middle of NOWHERE and it costs that much for me to get ANYWHERE.
I kicked myself BIG time when I took an afternoon to myself, drove to town, bought >$10 in paper and random primas, and drove home. I figured I had spent close to $20 in gas for that trip.
I will NEVER complain about shipping AGAIN!
For those of you who can stop by a Michaels or a Local Stamp or Scrap store on their way to or from somewhere--shipping at 100% is probably not worth it.
I spent that much on shipping twice! With the same company. I ended up buying $60 in stamps each time to justify the high shipping cost! If it is the company I am thinking of shipping is free with a $150 purchase!

I wouldn't do that, but I certainly would add to my order to justify it. It always helps to invite friends to order with you when there's a shipping charge like that. Fortunately, I usually have friends willing to help out. LOL
I just checked on one website for sponge daubers. A package of 3 weighs less than 1/2 ounce, I wanted 4 packages - that's less than 2 ounces! The website stated shipping was based solely on weight. When I had the shipping calculated (US location to US location - no out-of-the-country shipping), they were going to charge me over $8 shipping. Even tho' their price on the daubers was good, I'll actually save money by paying a higher price at my LSS!
Do you have a stamping friend that might also want to order something? That way you could split the shipping. Whenever I am ordering online I ask my friends if they need anything from that company -often times they do. I figure it helps both of us.

that is my take

Agreed. I also live in BFE but luckily I work in a larger area (40 miles away Gas prices suck...gonna buy a motorcycle pretty soon...or a horse!) so I have a Michael's, a Joann's (though a bad one), the Wal-Mart and Dollar Tree have stuff, and a little scrap store available for my lunch hour!
I am assuming Whipper Snapper Designs. Since shipping is kinda pricey, I wait to place an order for several stamps to offset the cost of shipping (flat rate shipping). I love ALL their stamps but I especially LOVE SweetMissDaisy's designs and am willing to pay that shipping!;)
No way! If this is from a company, I would definitely order more to make it worth my while! Just last night I ordered $60 worth of stuff (mostly cuttlebug folders and dies) so that I could get the "free shipping on orders over $50" deal.
