Default Would I really use Heat N Stick powder?

What's it for? I use my glue pen to adhere glitter, or Crystal Effects if I want LOTS of glitter attachment. Does the Heat N Stick do one of those better? Do other things? A couple of people have asked for my opinion on getting it...and I've never tried it! ACK! Please enlighten me (and my friends)...

Thank you!

Happy Stampin'!

I like my heat and stick when i want to make my lace snowflakes just glitter...you stamp in versamark, then sprinkle heat and stick then heat just for a second or two then glitter then heat just for a bit to set, and you have beautiful lace snowflakes in GLITTER :O cant do THAT with two way glue or crystal effects

Hmm...lol dunno...i only use it for stamping an entire stamp image that i want with glitter or stampin flock...

HTH

Even though I haven't used mine - not really enough glitter in my possession! LOL - I can still see the required use of it in certain situations. I think that if you want the exact detailing done in glitter, then heat n stick is the way to go. Glue pens and crystal effects are great for general sprucing up, but the heat n stick really gives the details.

I am a fan of Heat & Stick powder, although I know a lot of stampers who just do not like it at all. It allows you to glitter a complete image if you like, with great adhesion. I used heat & stick to do the "Hey!" image on this card: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I stamped the Hey with Classic ink, then stamped right on top of the turquoise image with VersaMark (used my Stamp-a-ma-jig here), poured on Heat & Stick, dumped off the excess, & heated carefully with my embossing tool. As soon as it changed from white to clear, I poured on Dazzling Diamonds. You can heat set for a couple of seconds, and the glitter is well applied. It's one of those things that you just have to play with a little!
Have fun if you try!

LOve my heat and stick powder! No mess and it sets right away. I like being about to brush off the excess glitter immediately and pop the card in the envelope with no dry time. I have never used anything else, but would imagine that the pens and special glue tips are great for layered and intricate detail.

I use mine all the time, it's really great for overall glitter on an image!

I like to use heat and stick powder with my Groovy set and the neon glitter stack (I realize both of these are retired). I have made neon blue, green and pink glitter 'Bugs' and flowers in that set...it's a lot of fun to use!!

I like the DD glitter on the snowflakes! I bet that's really pretty!

I really like my heat and stick powder. I used to write a word with a paintbox rainbow pad then used dazzling diamonds. It got a Wow from my friends.

It is much esier to get exact detail.

It isn't expensive and it will go a long way.

Thank you everyone for your advice and input! I can definitely recommend it (and now may have to put in on my own to-get list...sigh....I know it's not much, but all my to-get items are adding up awfully quickly!)

Happy Stampin'!
