Me too, me too! On Friday, my husband mentioned how the conversion rate was much better for us (2 pounds to the dollar last time we were there). He said we should make a trip; I thought "Hmmmm.... Elzybells...." AND when I got on their site yesterday morning, they had free shipping! Can't beat that!
Of course, I miss the days when I made my first trip to Great Britain it was 4 pounds to the dollar! Different world back in the 80s!
Looking forward to my new stamps from the good ol' UK! Next best thing to being made here.
I suppose it will be weeks before the package arrives. Just hope I get it in time to make Christmas cards.
I'm in Florida and also placed an order the first day -- I was so happy to see the ones I was looking at the week before were still in order. I know tons of ladies ordering so there shipping time might slow just a wee bit. It took me 29 days to get my order from High Hopes - I sure hope it doesn't take that long for this one! :-D
Phew just in time i spotted this thread and yep ,i just had a little spend ..my excuse is that i have bought a Christmas pressie ,ok i will admit all the other stamps are for me......:mrgreen:
This was true about 2-3 months ago...it's actually a much better deal now...around $1.60 to 1 pound.
Actually the rate has gotten almost 20 cents better since Monday! Makes me wonder if I would save by putting the order in Sunday afternoon??
Thanks for reminding me that the exchange rate isn't as good as it was - I had been bidding on some US stamps on Ebay .... so I've put the brakes on that and I went and blew my pennies at Elzybells instead!
I don't understand how to convert the dollar amount,, if I order something on their site that says, unmounted 6.50 (with that symbol in front of it, is that the pound) anyway, what is that in american dollars??? I want to order also for free shipping... thanks

I went to the website, and it still says its free delivery. I am hoping it stays there for a couple of more hours. I finally couldnt stand it anymore lol and I decided to order some Elzybells. I put my order in and go to checkout and twice it says my bank wouldnt authorize my charge.!!What the heck?? :( I just called my credit card and they say their system has been down since 9:30pm eastern time!!!! :( BooooooooooooHissssssssssssssss He claims it will probably be up by 11:30 eastern time!!! Thats another hour for me!!! Huummmm maybe someone is trying to tell me, "You dont need ANYMORE stamps"!!! HaHa
Wow, totally missed this over the weekend and I don't think the offer is up anymore. Did I just miss seeing it or is the free shipping over?

Does anyone know how long their shipping usually is? I ordered Sunday. Just curious. No rush, but you know, it's torture! I got some unmounteds. I didn't intend on getting anything, but Elzys are my total fave, and to get these for fre shipping and unmounted, is so cool!

Two - three weeks seems to be the norm; however, I'm not looking for my orders (yep, had to back a 2nd time) for at least three weeks - that will give them extra time for the inundation I expect this offer has them working through now! Yep, it's hard to wait; but look at it this way, it gives us something to look forward to for that much longer. ;)
I got an e-mail this afternoon - my order has shipped!! That was fast, especially given the amount of orders that were undoubtedly placed this weekend.
The fact that they have an unmounted option was a clincher for me. I did not get everything on my wish list, but they do have some of the cutest dog stamps around!

Has anyone else gotten shipping confirmation yet. I ordered on the friday nite around 1 am in the morning so technically i guess it would be saturday but haven't gotten any confirmation yet as to whether it has shipped. I know that they are probably over run with orders but i was just wondering.
I got an email saying part of my order has been shipped..but not which part..I only ordered 10 stamps unmounted...
A question that hit me in the middle of the night after I placed the order...do we have to pay the customs fees like canada etc. I have never ordered international just sent things (ebay) and they want it as a gift so they don't have to pay the customs fees....anyone who has ordered there before know??

I ordered on Saturday and again on Sunday, and I haven't heard anything yet either. But every morning I wake up hoping that when I check my email that I will have a notification (or two) from them. Even if they're b/ordered, maybe they'll shoot me an email. I can wait for awhile as long as I know.
You can also order Elzybells from Amuse. When I just compared the Girl on Swing from the UK site and converted the currency the woodmounted stamp came to $9.81. From Amuse it is $9.25. Plus Elzybells will be closed after Nov 28 through December while they move the on-line site. I don't think Amuse sells the unmounted stamps though so that might make a big difference if you were planning to order unmounted.
