Its contest time at work. It's a two part contest.
1) Individual: We have all been given a ceramic piggy bank (approximately 5 1/2 long X 4 wide) to decorate, from head to hoof, any way we want (we can use markers, paint etc..anything) 2) Department: Sticking with the piggy bank theme - decorate our work space to our hearts content.
The sole purpose of this challenge is to get customers asking questions so we can refer them to to our Financial Advisor.
Our piggy banks will be judged by our peers and the winner will receive a prize. Also, each department will be judged and receive a prize. (No details on the prizes yet)
The only thing I can come up with right now is "When Pigs Fly" and maybe putting wings on my pig. No ideas yet on the department.
There are 2 of us in our department so the ideas have to be cost effective as we will be paying for decorations out of our own pockets
I was in Seattle last summer, and they have pig statues all around town. Check out the link...may bring on lots of ideas on how to decorate your pig. Good luck!!

What a neat contest. One comment on "When Pigs Fly". I don't know that you'd necessarily want to use that theme. It's like, "Yeah, you'll have enough money to need to speak to a Financial Adviser when pigs fly." lol I don't have any good ideas though!
Well, a pig with wings could be inspirational also. We've been celebrating National Pig Day (March 1) for a couple of years, well I have, and used it as an inspirational thing. Here is a poem that I attached to a little winged pig pin I made last year:
A pig that has wings
Does impossible things!
Over clouds it can fly
In the wink of an eye!
She may tickle you pink
But she wants you to think
Of her message to each -
"Nothing's out of your reach!"

And this year I used the German Proverb: "If pigs had wings, everything would be possible."
So I think you could relate that to banking/saving for something special.

Thank you so very much for your comments. My co-worker and I haven't discussed the contest yet (she works part-time) but I knew this was the place to get some great ideas. Can't wait to show her our options.
