Just a thought for all you ladies who love everything in the mini except for the kits because you already have all of the supplies -- these kits are perfect for those friends of you who have never stamped before and have no supplies, so call you demo and book a January or February workshop and invite all your non-stamping friends. They will fall in love with the kits and you'll get your free SAB sets and hostess benefits to order all the other stuff you want from the mini ;-) It's a win for everyone!
And I for one am really sorry that a poodle didn't make it into the winter mini. In fact, I wouldn't mind oodles of poodles! Guess I have to wait until the next mini. :-( But maybe that's a good thing, considering how many winter mini sets are already on my list!
Well, my Yorkie who tells me everyday how exquisitely perfect I am has informed me that I should indulge myself to my every Winter Mini whim...
Hey, it works for me
Too funny....maybe that's what my black labs have been yapping about, I thought they just wanted to be fed but I'll be they were really telling me, "the new winter mini is here and you NEED to order everything you want!". Good dog, have a biscuit!
On the other hand, I am interested in the doodling theme....personally I love stamping because most 3 yr olds can draw way better than me, I can't even draw a respectable stick person (or dog!) however given the right stamps, I am an ar-tiste! lol! Jan
I MUST have Like it a Latte and I am drawn to Love Matters. I think it would be fun to color in with my markers! I don't have a coffee/food set and this one is sooo cute! I love the swirls for steam, backgrounds, wind, all kinds of "other" uses!

OOOHHHH Wind! I hadn't thought of that....maybe behind Frosty with a little heat and stick and some dazzling diamonds...great, I was on the fence about that one and now I need it too....LOL
Thank you for the sneak peak on this one! I just ordered the little pieces, with the tip from the demo that big pieces are on their way. I am trying to tell myself to wai until SAB to order more, get the most for my $$. Maybe I'll take the earlier suggestion to have a party and really cash in!! (...if I can wait that long...)
Sooo glad my bday is near Christmas. DH won't have to think very hard this year! I love carte postale, french flair bg, papers, small tag punch, tagger's dozen, fancy flex. phrases, Loves me paper, ribbons, accents and elements, Big pieces (will HAVE to get Little pieces now LOL), and Woodland Cottage. Just a few things, huh? I don't think my demo will mind at all that I've had a sneak peek! Of course the way some of you are drooling over the other sets will probably convince me that I need them too!!
I agree on the card kits, that it's great for newbies. When I look at the stamps, I find I already have ones that are VERY similar so they really don't tempt me at all...

Mine arrived in the mail yesterday. Spent most of last evening drooling over the offerings. Thank Goodness this runs during the SAB time...I know there are several "must have" items in it!!;)

The ONLY thing I'm bummed about is that the two Limited Edition Simply Sent kits are my favorite ones, I wish they were permanent instead. I'm completely in love with the new paper, definitely going to be on my first order out of this mini!
I hope mine comes today... I'm dying to see it in person! Where or where is that mailman???
I just went back through the electronic one and added Woodland Cottage to my list. It is very unlike anything I have already so I can justify it It's just one of those sets you can see yourself falling in love with and keeping forever... this may be the set that reels my MIL into this obsession as she has been to England several times.

Thanks so much for the link! This mini is awesome! There's so many sets that I'd like to have, it's going to be very hard to narrow it down to a couple!!!

I have to agree that this is the best mini SU has ever had. There are a bunch of sets I would like. It's just hard these days to justify spending the money on non-TAC stuff... Maybe I can sneak in a set or two.

I love most of the mini. Just to clarify, in my humble, very frugal opinion, just an observation, not a criticism, I just think $40 or more for a kit is A LOT OF MONEY. Especially when "some" of the stamps are so very basic. I respect all of your views that the beginner may want something simple. Please just see that I am saying the price seems high. IN MY VIEW, I think they are a lot of money for most people. And, the poodle comment was in jest. You'd have to be rich (with a poodle-I always think of shopping and rich people having poodles) to spend that amount on a basic set with a few do dads.... Sorry if I caused any miffed feelings. I really am. I agree it is a great mini and love love love, SU......enuf said, amen to this.. Sorry if
If you think $40 is bad, try living in Canada... our kits are $54.95 - 58.95 ... yikes! Even if I had a poodle I probably wouldn't spend that kinda money on a litlte teeny stamp set and a few accessories that I already own.
Ohhh lordy!!! I so want French Flair Background and some other sets!!! *drool* I can't wait till the winter mini is out so I start buying! Demos....WATCH OUT HERE I COME!!!!
All I can say is thank goodness my birthday and Christmas are both in December and Sell A Bration is in January!! There are so many things in this mini that I love, and just a tiny amount that I do not want. I Like it a Latte is my favorite thing -- just adorable. I love the "steam" stamp -- it is so versatile for other purposes. And the marshmallows and peppermint stick. Too cute.
And the bird background is soo different. I love when SU does different! And Three Trees -- nothing like SU's ususal style -- I can see so many neat uses for that set -- especially using transparency or vellum. I could go on and on but I'm boring myself.
Before I spend a dime on this mini, however, I've still buying from the holiday mini. I had to get the BIG set before it is too late. I have the feeling that is going to be worth $$ on ebay some day!!

I thing the new French Flair background is terrific. I think you could probably ink just a few areas and get the "breeze" effect for winter scenes. My list is rather small and when I look at it, I see that everything I want ties together. The small tag punch, taggers dozen and the fancy flexibles. I can create layered tags with images and words.
Lots of pretty stuff in this mini - just trying to limit my spending to get the max uses for my money. So I'm spending my money on images and words that I can use with my existing stash of stamps.

I too love the mini, I have a list a mile long so far and I am sure it will just get longer when I see what all you talented ladies upload to the gallery.
I love the Simply Sent Card Kits and I know that my customers will go gaga over them. I have a number of them who ask me if they can buy a bunch of already cut card stock pieces so they don't have to do the cutting!! This in itself is worth $40 to them. :p
I am desperately waiting on my hard copy!! SOOOOO unfair that most of you demos already have yours!!! But from my brief glance online, I know I am going to be in trouble!!! I didn't buy anything but the ribbon holders out of the holiday mini, but my wish list for this mini is already over $200!

Julie, you just crack me up, girl! I feel much the same--I look, decide on a few things, look again awhile later, add to the list, look again. . . well, you get the idea! This is an awesome mini!

ROFLMBO Julie!!
I got my mini in the mail today - it's drying right now from all the drool on it...
Let's see... I need to get the small tag punch, tagger's dream, and big pieces. I really like the trees three, too. I love French Flair, but just don't think that I could actually use it - it would probably sit on my shelf, so I'll just drool over everything you ladies do with it. I really like the like it a latte, but I'll probably go back and forth on that one, but I think I should get that, too. I like the Loves Me paper and the ribbon and Sweet on You and the pocket notes.
My poodle is arfing obnoxiously  So I think that because I have to listen to him all night I should pamper myself with everything I want in the mini catalog.
