Why are some sets from SU purple rubber?

I have a few sets from SU that are purple rubber. The SAB sets are purple and so are the hostess sets. Is this to identify them in some way? Just wondering...

I read in a past stampin' success magazine that the purple sets were the "special" sets ie) SAB, hostess Limited Edition. So pretty much exactly what you said;)

I think those are the ones you earn from SU as hostess gifts....or are they the Sellabration ones??? They are not the regular sets that you can purchase!

This year the SAB sets are purple. Last year they were blue, and the hostess sets were purple. I guess SU just decides to use a different color of stamp to indicated which ones aren't from the regular catalogues.

The purple are the special sets, limited time, hostess etc.

I like to point out to my DH that the purple ones are the FREE ones!!!!

He can look and see how many free stamp sets I earned over the years!!
