The poor UPS guy drove by the house while I was outside rounding up kids and he waved the first time he passed and then on his return trip by the house, he slowed down enough to yell "Nothing Yet!" and then he punched it and left me eating his dust. lol Poor guy! I know I can't be THAT bad! Just give me my stamps and no one gets hurt! So, long story short, I may get my stamps tomarrow! Tomarrow will be the 2nd longest day of my life. Longest day being waiting until my cattys arrived lol Come on UPS put my order on the plane tonite so I can have it tomarrow! I cannot wait until Monday knowing it is in the same state!!!!

My UPS guy knows me by name, and I am not even a demo!!! lol
YET!!!! :P
Mel, REALLY hoping it comes today so you don't have to highjack the UPS guy and get him to take you to Anchorage to get your goodies! Have you tried some home baked goodies for him yet? Maybe that will hurry him up?
I know exactly how you feel! My big 8/2 am order just went to picking today!
I hope it comes to you quickly! It's hard to wait! LOL

LOL, I "sorta" know how you feel...my very first order shipped last night! OK so it was just a supply order, but still...when I awoke to the email from SU that it had shipped I did get a "woohoo" out...lol.
I remember when my sis lived in Fairbanks how tough it was to get ANYTHING in a timely fashion (if at all....). Be strong!
lol I would hijack the UPS guy but then the cops would get me while waiting for the ferry, while on the ferry (I think it is like 12 hrs to Anchorage by ferry), or when we got off the ferry. Trust me, thought about it already and cant come up with a workable plan...still working on it tho
I just need to learn patience...yeah RIGHT! lol

I love this line! This may become my motto. A gal's not happy unless she has new stamps to play with on the weekend. It could make or break your weekend! I wonder if Darth or Enrique have ever had to say, "Just give me my stamps and no one gets hurt!" I wonder if the UPS guy knew what a dangerous line of work he was getting into. Lots of stampers waiting impatiently for their stamping goodies. We can't be responsible for our actions if they don't deliver the goods when they should.
I read on the SU Stampin Discuss board that some ladies were at convention with brown shirts on with a saying about the UPS guys...Maybe if I get me one of those the UPS guy will notice and get on the phone and make some phone calls to UPS headquarters so I can get my stamps w/out them having to travel all over the country before coming back west! lol Really do want to see what those shirts looked like.

I just got my BIG order yesterday! I was so excited when I saw "Delivered" on the UPS site while I was at work...wanted to leave right then and there. But unfortunately I ended up having to work late and then go to my parent's house to pick up my son. It was still there when I got home
I WILL BE PLAYING THIS WEEKEND! Hope you get to play too!
Finally I see it has left Utah and is now headed in the opposite direction of where I live. Don't ask me why it goes to Louisvill Ky BEFORE Anchorage who knows.
I sometimes wonder about UPS! My orders go from Utah to Reno NV to CA, BACK to Reno NV, then back to CA and then on to me!!!
I too have an order "out there somewhere" so I can really feel your pain : )
I have a love/hate relationship with the UPS factory, so I'm always on the LOVE side when a cute delivery driver shows up (why is it that they are always cute, I wonder?)
It's so reassuring that so many of you think the same way I do or maybe it's kind of scary! I have checked on my order about a million times. I live on a farm and we have 5 dogs and 3 kittens that adore our porch. Needless to say, if we are expecting anything we have to stay home to make sure it doesn't get ripped to shreds. I feel like I'm in prison having to wait for my order so my animals don't destroy it before I get to play. The fact that I won't get my package until Monday is enough to drive me insane!!!
I can feel your pain about not getting your stuff in a timely fashion!
Is UPS open on Saturday for package pick up?
I am going to call them and find out, and while I am there, I'm thinking about asking why all of Alaska's stuff goes to Kentucky from Utah. It absolutely makes no sense!
I have 2 large orders to be delivered on Monday...they are here...I know because I have checked!! I also have another large order to be delivered on Tuesday. Don't ask how the first one entered and shipped is the last one to be delivered! It is killing me to know that my toys are only a few miles down the road waiting for me!!
I feel your pain!! My order was scheduled to be delivered Fri. I waited all day so I finally check UPS tracking to find out there was a train that was late and my shipment was on that train. Now I have to wait until Monday which I normally wouldn't care, but I have a card swap on Sun. My paper for my swap was on that order. Now I have to be creative to find out what to do about my swap. I love UPS, but this is very frustrating. Nothing worse in the stamping world than a delayed shipment.

Debra
I had this discussion with a friend once when a mutual friend of ours left her husband for the UPS guy. (True story!) Anyway, I concluded that they are always neatly groomed and dressed in a matching outfit (brown shorts, brown shirt) and they never show up to see you without bringing you something! Those are some characteristics we all want in a man, right??
I'm going to chime in here about my UPS guy. He delivered a packages to me on Thurs & Friday of this week (not SU -- but my QVC goodies). When he came on Friday he said "What are you getting today, Michelle". So, I said I ordered scrapbooking stuff from QVC then he said -- you stamp though right?. My reply was Oh Yes, I do. Then he said --- "Did you see the new catalog". He didn't even have to say the new SU catty!! I was laughing so hard because I had already read some of these replies about their man in Brown. He proceeded to tell me His wife stamps too! And the longer we talked - I found out that she had gone to the same stamp camp that I attended over the summer. Thank goodness we didn't talk about our UPS guy there! LOL
PS ~ He is kind of cute too!!
Mel, I hope you get your package soon. I can't wait to see your creations!
So, Mel - I'm guessing Brown came through and you're stamping? Hope you're not in custody for attempted kidnapping, or worse, a funk because of non delivery! My last order shows shipped, but no expected delivery date. Maybe that's better; I won't know when to really stralk the poor driver.
*sigh* no delivery ladies.... My box is still sitting in Anchorage. So much for 2nd day delivery...No saturday delivery either. *snif* So, I guess I will work on my scrapbooks today instead of playing with new stamps.
My UPS dude is a cutie too.
Girlygirl, that must be the reason! Everything we want in a man! lol
Come on Monday! Now I just have to sneak the box past my dh as he will be off on Monday!
